Media is becoming a powerful driver of tourism and the 5th edition of the Rwenzori Marathon proved exactly that. 🏃🏾♂️⛰️
With World Athletics streaming the marathon live and commentators bringing the experience to audiences beyond Uganda, the event reached thousands of people.

This is how it starts. 😂
You run for fun, then suddenly you’re training for marathons.
If you’re looking for a community to run with, @AKARUNCLUB is free to join. We’ve grown from 3 people to almost 1,000 members in Uganda and honestly, the community is the best part.
Running might look easy, but getting started? That’s a whole different story. 🏃🏾♀️
For Racheal, finding her stride has been a journey of resilience, lessons and self-discovery. She caught up with our Switcher, Shiba Nakakande, for a switched-up chat on the highs, the lows and everything running has taught her along the way.@ShibaNakakande.

With Uganda’s Tenfold Growth Strategy looking toward a bigger economy by 2040, young people say accountability must be part of the journey. For them, it’s not just about creating opportunities. It’s about making sure commitments turn into action and young people have a voice in shaping the country’s future.

We joined our partners Baraza Media Lab, IMS and DDI in Kampala for a timely conversation on climate misinformation and disinformation and the stories and voices that often get overlooked.
It was a powerful space for journalists, activists, CSOs and Indigenous Peoples to share experiences, challenge narratives and reflect on how climate information reaches communities.
Are climate stories misheard or unheard?
Climate misinformation and disinformation can shape how communities understand and respond to climate action. Baraza Media Lab, with IMS, brought journalists, activists, CSOs and Indigenous Peoples together in Kampala to map where these stories emerge and whose voices are missing.

During a podcast conversation at the Nordic Uganda Partnership Day, @DKAmbUganda highlighted the need for young people to stay vigilant against misinformation and disinformation.
As some of the most exposed to false information online, young people have a key role to play in questioning what they see, verify before sharing, and making informed decisions.
