Random surpise: When you put in a cheeky bid and win a bargain, collection-only used laptop on ebay and they don't give you their name but a door number and postcode to buildings that are next to an active RAF airfield where Apache helicopters squadrons are based.

Based on how poor the quality of most of the submissions for School Parent Governor are that I've just read for a school (lacking key info, short of actual school engagement, therefore unempathetic to the audience), I'm shocked that their kids managed to pass the entrance exams

Atrociously disrespectful behaviour by Trump

This claim is totally false. It's misinformation that will only increase fear and concern in Jewish communities. The account may look like it's part of a well-known news channel but it isn't. Please check the authenticity of accounts before sharing unverified or unsourced claims

Deeply saddened by last night’s incidents at Spital Mosque in Aberdeen, paint thrown at the door and a rock through the window. Despite this hate, local neighbours came together to clean up, showing unity and solidarity. This is the true spirit of community, especially during Ramadan. It is disheartening that mosques must increasingly strengthen security amid rising Islamophobia and real risks to worshippers.

My warmest congratulations to Sir Mufti Abdul Hamid Patel on his appointment as the interim chair of Ofsted, As the founder of Star Academies, he has been a driving force for more than a decade in raising educational attainment across the country, Unsurprisingly, his appointment has been met with deeply Islamophobic and vile racist attacks. They can’t quite come to terms with a Muslim being appointed. Maybe they need to learn some of the STAR Academy values …
We’re very lucky to have Sir Hamid on our board - and we’re grateful he’s stepping into this role. He runs some of the best schools in the country, is a brilliant system leader and a very good man.

We are entering a new phase of Islamophobia, fueled by far right wings groups who are increasingly emboldened and organised. Their focus among stoking hatred, ultimately to harm British Muslim communities. Coupled this with politically charged rhetoric, anti immigrant, fake news and online misinformation it’s no wonder Islamophobia is increasing. There has to be a real challenge to this. There is an absence of a national narrative of belonging. Our politicians need to move beyond trying to appease those moving further and further to the right and further away from the Britain we are all a part of.

Nuance & a rhetorical qn: How can anything labelled "halal economy" advertise on Google, be hosted on Amazon Web Servers and be run by individuals or companies that have tools (including smartphones) or products with a supply chain linked to those who are persecuting Uyghurs?

I've watched @WICKED_Musical in the West End twice in the past 18 years and loved it. Whilst the movie is welcomed, it's unethical of @UniversalPics to not clearly state that the new 2hr40min film @wickedmovie is only part 1 (half the story) in the standard promotional material
