Last night, @higgsfield sent @ComfyUI a cease and desist (attached)
They want the Open Source Higgsfield challenge taken down within 48 hours.
Their argument is that our use of the Higgsfield name and that using their CEO's likeness is an infringement violation (man, the irony). Claiming that it makes the event look like Higgsfield is associated with it.
This couldn't be farther from the truth, which is that Higgsfield made a promise to open source its product and never did.
For the past two weeks, builders have been recreating popular closed apps as open workflows anyone can run.
So we asked our community to deliver where Higgsfield failed: apps in the open, built by the community, for the community. We've made it clear that the challenge is organized by ComfyUI and not affiliated with or endorsed by Higgsfield.
When we started Comfy, we made the community a promise. Our product stays open, free, and yours. We’ve kept it every day since, and one letter isn’t going to change that.
The challenge stays up. Comfy and open source will win!

Genjutsu -> OpenJutsu
We asked everyone to join us in building open-sourced apps.
Seemed fair to go first.
A few of us built OPENjutsu as a side project.
It’s fully open source, so it’s as much yours as it is ours. Run it on Comfy, run it locally, or plug in a paid model if you want higher quality.
Your #OpenSourceHiggsfield submissions are due October 30.

So Comfy Agent wrote this node inside ComfyUI to browse the open-source version of Higgsfield directly lol.
I will work on making every button link to an open-source version of the feature, based on the community submission, and share this node.
ping me if you are willing to collab on selecting the best oss alternatives. I have a doc below.
Higgsfield promised to open-source their entire platform. They didn’t.
Let's help them.
For the next two weeks, Comfy and our partners are putting up $25,000 in prizes for the best open-source builds on the Comfy Developer Platform.
Partners: @NVIDIAAI, @runpod, @MiniMax_AI, @ltx_io, @bfl_ai
→ $10K grand prize
→ RTX 5090: Most Innovative
→ RTX 5090: Most Viral
→ RTX 5090: Open Weights Only
→ 10 runners-up: $250 in Comfy credits
MOSS-Image is now supported in ComfyUI
@OpenMOSS dropped an open-weight image model that has blown up across the community. It’s a 5B model that renders legible text, accepts structure layout prompts and has a high bar for aesthetics.
The community has already been cooking up finetunes and LoRAs while the Comfy team has been working to support the model to run seamlessly on any consumer hardware.
This model is a must try - check it out.

Hey everyone,
We've updated our FLUX 3 Image Klein workflows to fix some issues and help you get the best results from the model.
• Update to @ComfyUI v0.41.3 and use our updated workflow, link in thread.
• We've updated the @huggingface Space as well.
To get the best results, the model should be used with our prompt upsampling and 2K resolutions.
If you can’t use our prompt upsampling, we’ve also made the recommended system prompt available in our repo to use in your workflows.
Thank you for the feedback everyone!

Open 5.5 building a mechanical scorpion walking through a forest.
What blows my mind here is there's no models. Its all Shaders, WGLS.
Its interactive, you can click around to make the scorpion move and change the entire environment with the parameters on the procedural graph.
Even blender is obsolete. Insane.

It's always a great time to learn how to make your own tools. I know a lot of people who have killed expensive software subscriptions by vibe coding their own tools.
