I'll be returning during The Awakening. As the first to clear the original Dungetron and reach max lvl, I hope to recreate my success during this event with the launch of a brand new dungeon & progression system. It's called gigaverse.

In 20+ years, someone will be attributing their business success to Roblox tycoon games
In my teens and 20's I would spend way too much time playing Starcraft and Civilization. Harvesting resources, building things, and expanding was super addictive to my brain - to an almost unhealthy degree. Later I realized that entrepreneurship and business is the ultimate game. It scratches the same itch for me (resources, building, expanding), but you're actually contributing to humanity at the end of the day, which can be much more fulfilling. Business is also much more positive sum than video games. In Starcraft, the other player has to lose for you to win. In business, there is competition, but in a growing market there can be multiple winners. And gains compound long term (it's a infinite game) instead of starting over each time. Now days I prefer to watch pros play video games to unwind, instead of playing video games myself. But a quick game can still be fun here and there to unwind. By contrast, the game of business is played over many decades.

Never a dull moment with gigaverse. Personally really looking forward to the holiday competition with 20k USDC rewards. No mechanics announced but my guess is that leaderboard placement is a mix of achievement within Dungeons, Fishing, and Void Dungeon.
gigling resource production is now LIVE 🏭 giglings are the sole source of production for dung (produced by males) and butterflies (produced by females), which will be used in upcoming features. here's how it works 🧵

Over the weekend was the first time I heard about @neukoai. I instantly bought a GBOY whale pack after seeing the large amount of support from overall CT. Had no clue about GBOY's brand proliferation and reach Now they're having people burn NFT badges so I bought and burned 1 🔥

Having a fun time with conquest. Should be interesting to see how the team grows conquest after beta. Crazy that the team has been working on this as well as tons of other thing in the pipeline (hatching, openworld, gigacha). While crypto is down, gigaverse devs don't stop 🔥
conquest is now LIVE ⚔️

Hatching in @gigaverse is live!!🥚 Control temperature to hatch faster, comfort to increase quality (rarity), and fate to impact faction Temperature & Comfort decrease daily so make sure to top them up on reset each day. Each fate you submit increases the % chance by 4.75% for that faction and gigus by .25%. If you're targeting a specific faction, you'd only want to submit that specific dust. However, cost goes up based on how many times you've submitted that faction's dust before so be careful as it could get expensive!
egg hatching is now LIVE! proceed to Vilhelm Hatchard, to begin the hatching process. 🧵

Sitting comfy with my Ember @opensea chest. Pretty much did swaps on Arb during the +5% incentivized day. Been using OS since 2021 so interested to see how they'll balance out historical activity vs more recent voyage/chest based volume. -ev until $SEA comes🤞

Let’s talk about @gigaverse stubs and medals 🧵 Long post covering basics of stubs along with a week by week history of the stub leaderboard with my own personal thoughts on the system ⬇️ What are stubs? Stubs started as a way to track points towards weekly Abstract XP ✳️ in a more transparent way. Stubs have been historically acquired in a couple different ways: 1⃣ Weekly and Daily Deals from Hugis: burn in-game items 2⃣ ROMs: Weekly stubs generation from ROMs, these stubs do not count towards the leaderboard 3⃣ Void Dungeon: a skill-based dungeon that was open for only two weeks 4⃣ Juice: For the first three weeks, stubs could be acquired via purchasing juice Note, being juiced gives 4x the amount of stubs while turning in deals than a non-juiced user

▶️ Week 10: August 29 – September 4 After seeing the burn of silver rings in the prior week, the team decided faction shards needed the same treatment. Weekly deals had 500 shards of each faction. Priced around $1.25, shards shot up to $4 and settled at $2.5 by end of week, meaning it cost around ~$8.75k to get max stubs. Supply of each shard went from ~15k to 12k, so around ~21k (20%) of circulating shards were burned. Two players competed for first overall, burning ~3,500 shards each (~$8k). Seeing the prior week’s winner get 60k xp for burning a similar $ amount, this behavior was completely unexpected. While it was a success in decreasing shard supply, there was some discourse in the community around medals and weekly deal design: Weeks 11 - 16: August 29 - Today During the past 5 weeks, stubs/medals have only been acquired by differing weekly & daily stub deals. These weeks would run players ~$100 - $400 to complete, which if on the higher end, they'd have lower completion rates.

⭐️ Medals - Final Thoughts Medals Drive the Gigamarket Stubs had a rough start, but they’ve since become the backbone of Gigaverse’s thriving player economy, powered by speculative medals. Marketplace volume now moves with the weekly and daily deals. The team can use targeted offers to encourage burning, balancing out supply and stabilizing prices. For example, Oracle Prism, required for last week’s deals, dropped from around 3,100 to 1,800 in supply, a 42% decrease. It saw roughly 1,500 purchases in one week, compared to just one sale over the prior ten days. That’s the power of stubs to influence the market and control item supply and value. Without stubs and medals, Oracle Prism’s supply would likely grow unchecked while its value kept falling, at least until new mechanics or utilities were introduced. Of course, some in the community worry that stubs have become a crutch, propping up the economy instead of adding real gameplay utility. If stubs or medals ever lose their speculative value, gameplay-driven purchases alone may not sustain current marketplace prices. Without a thriving marketplace, there's very little reason for new web3 gamers, who are typically financially incentivized, to play gigaverse. The ongoing success of medal speculation remains the team’s most powerful driver of marketplace activity, fueling new web3 player acquisition and keeping the existing community engaged. 🟨Closing I’m personally collecting as many gold medals as I can, trusting that the team will reward the most dedicated players and marketplace participants. Would I pay $5.3k for a gold medal? Absolutely not. But I’ll continue burning hundreds of dollars in items each week, along with many others, chasing top rank medals. Maybe we’re all just tossing items into a bottomless pit to support Gigaverse’s marketplace stats... Or maybe the team truly does have a plan for us. Either way, I’m believing that medal collectors will look back one day, satisfied that our conviction through it all meant something.
