Often times athletes will avoid training overhead in order to protect against injury. However, I believe they’re doing just the opposite. The nature of the sport requires you to be strong and stable overhead. By neglecting to train overhead you’re putting your arm at extreme risk

The RDL Landmine Row is perfect for ankle, hip & core stability w/ the added strength benefit of a traditional row !! The glute/hip recruitment also helps pitchers/hitters who tend to drift into their front sides 💡

The competition is never in the other dugout, it’s between you and you in your own head.
Clarity vs Clutter
Simple vs Complex
Trusting vs Thinking
Present vs Past/Future
Controllable vs Uncontrollable
Opportunity vs Threat
Win these battles and the scoreboard will work out.

Just because you do something often doesn’t mean you’re getting better at it.
I drive every day, but I’m not much better now than I was 10 years ago.
I cook every day, but I’m not getting any closer to being a gourmet chef.
“Showing up” isn’t enough if you want to get better.

If someone tries to put u on a "Throwing Program" that IMPOSES a Pre-Determined:
1) Time limit
2) Distance limit
3) Volume limit
4) Arc limit
BEWARE.
This is how your arm gets "PROGRAMMED", rather than LIBERATED.

A good training program does not reduce bodily stress as much as possible. A good training program applies the appropriate amount of stress to the right parts of the body at the right time.
Stress in itself isn't good or bad. How you apply the stress is what's good or bad

Knowing when to pivot from the plan is just as important, if not more important than original plan. Things are never as neat or linear as they originally appear to be- the magic is in the adjustments.

This is what makes me sick about youth sports. We’re testing 60s with 6 year olds??? Exit velos and pop times for kids who are just now learning the sport?!?! Money grab.

There isn’t necessarily a “right” way to load- there are more efficient ways to load based on anatomy.
Each body is built to find stability and produce power in different ways. Matching the strategy to the body is important for optimizing power output and performance.

Hip anatomy directly influences loading strategy.
Left-hips are more retroverted (external rotation biased). To load, he externally rotates his rear leg (femur) and toes out.
Right- anteverted (internal rotation biased) more of a “knee to knee” load- finds stability here
