🚨37 members of U.S. Congress joined together to call on Trump to condemn China’s “Ethnic Unity and Progress Law” (EUPL) and press Xi for its repeal. The congressional letter was written by human rights stalwart Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and led by Raskin, Tibet champion Jim McGovern (D-MA) and House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Gregory Meeks (D-NY). The lawmakers sent the letter on the day of Xi’s arrival and urged President Trump to raise the EUPL directly with Xi during their meetings in Washington. ICT welcomes the congressional intervention. “We are deeply grateful to Reps Raskin, McGovern and Meeks and all the members of Congress who joined this important call for the repeal of the so-called ‘Ethnic Unity and Progress Law’,” said Ryan Fioresi, Executive Director, International Campaign for Tibet. Honesty is the foundation of trust and the best policy in life. A warm heart and inner richness are the true keys to living a happy and fulfilling life. By HH14thDL
Inner Richness is Real Wealth - His Holiness the Dalai Lama describes warm-heartedness as our inner richness — the real wealth money cannot provide. A compassionate mind reduces anger and jealousy, the destroyers of our inner peace. Without that inner richness, even plenty of money brings little meaning. A happy life, family, and humanity all depend on the wealth we carry within. Video originally recorded on October 15, 2016.

Warm-heartedness. Even animals appreciate it. If you are motivated by loving kindness, it will be reflected in the happy expression on your face. Real beauty is inner beauty.

What is causing the recent flooding along the Tibet–Nepal border? Is this flooding caused by human activities, or is it a natural phenomenon?

A catastrophic flash flood hit the Nepal–Tibet border. A place called Kyidong (སྐྱིད་གྲོང་།) “སྐྱིད། means Happy” “གྲོང་། is called Town” Some called Kyirong which means Happy Valley in Tibetan. Word “Gyirong” doesn’t make sense, Chinese pronunciation.
China has suspended rescue efforts in Tibet due to fears of a second flood on its border with Nepal. At least 475 people have been killed and more than 1,300 are missing after flash floods swept through Nepal and Tibet on Wednesday. Chinese rescuers at Gyriong port, the land border between the two countries, have been told to stop operations due to fears of a second flood⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2…
