Industrial AI, without the licensing barrier.
TDengine is free forever, up to 5,000 tags. Data ingestion, real-time analytics, visualization, AI-assisted analysis, natural-language exploration, root cause insights. One platform, no stitching things together.
Take it for a spin. No sales call required: tdengine.com/free-tier/?utm_…

Rough and finish milling put different loads on a spindle, so vibration needs context.
In this CNC demo, TDengine IDMP links related signals to MC-01 and W-040.

Replacing PI takes planning. A full cutover doesn't have to be the first step.
See how TDengine connects to PI for real-time ingestion and historical backfill while PI keeps running.

35M rows per day across three energy sites. Just ~2% of one CPU core per appliance.
@DjinEMS uses TDengine to keep high-resolution energy data alongside 50 Hz control and local AI at the grid edge.
Over 2 billion rows recorded so far.

In the TDengine Free Tier Workshop Session 3, we investigated a simulated chemical reactor shutdown where multiple alarms occurred across the process and product quality fell below specification.
You can still try the reactor shutdown investigation yourself.
Download TDengine All-in-One, explore the sample data, and follow the workshop manual at your own pace.
No need to prepare your own data.

The first sign was a CNC feed motor alarm. Then the team found abnormal cutting force.
By the end of the batch, the surface finish was out of spec.
Here's what the investigation uncovered:

See how a refinery process comes together in TDengine IDMP.
This animated P&ID-style demo shows process flow, equipment status, temperatures, pressures, and production metrics in one view.
It complements existing SCADA systems without replacing their control functions.

Fire pump pressure dropped. Was it a pipe leak or a problem with the pump?
Temperature and vibration rose too. Seal leakage climbed from 0.1 to 2.8 L/min, giving the team a clearer lead.

When several alarms appear around the same shutdown, which one actually tells you where the problem started?
This Thursday, we’ll investigate that in Session 3 of our free hands-on workshop.
Trace the timeline. Find the first abnormal condition. Build the root-cause analysis.
Join us tomorrow, October 8: From Reactor Alarm to Root Cause

Replacing PI doesn‘t have to mean a big bang cutover.
Keep PI running, stream real time data into TDengine, backfill history, validate side by side, then move workloads in phases.

When an energy app takes seconds to load, users do not see a database problem. They just see a slow product.
This case scaled past 1.17M devices and cut storage costs by about 80% after moving to TDengine.

The TDengine team has just released TDengine IDMP 2.0.2.0, with many new features and improvements. But one update stands out to me: TDengine IDMP can now work directly with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and InfluxDB. Your data no longer has to be stored in TDengine TSDB to take advantage of IDMP.
This is important because openness has been one of TDengine’s core principles since day one. We don’t believe an industrial data platform should force users to move all their data into a proprietary stack before they can benefit from it.
Industrial data is inherently heterogeneous. It lives in different databases, systems, and environments. IDMP should work with that reality—not fight against it. We’ve been committed to building an open platform from the beginning, and we’ll keep pushing in that direction.
A big thank you to the TDengine team for making this happen.
