LDS Church Leader Says “THE END IS NEAR”… THEN MENTIONS PRIVATE LEADERSHIP MEETINGS Something remarkable was said at a recent stake conference—and this time, we don’t have to rely on someone’s memory of what they heard. There is an official stake recording. Near the end of his remarks, Elder Christopher L. Thomas begins speaking about preparing a Zion people. Then his language becomes unusually direct: “The time is now. The end is near. Are you reading the news? It is coming.” He says the prophets are pleading with us to prepare a people who are ready to receive the Savior. And then he says something that immediately caught my attention: “We can’t share everything that is shared with us in leadership conferences. But what I can tell you is that that is the theme.” Read that again. “We can’t share everything…” What exactly has been discussed in these leadership conferences? And what is the theme he can tell ordinary members about? This is especially interesting because this is not the first report we’ve received about leadership meetings focused on preparing the Church for what lies ahead. Over the past several months, we’ve examined reports involving stake presidents, Area Seventies, General Authority Seventies, and Apostles—all pointing toward a growing emphasis on preparing a people to receive Jesus Christ. But Elder Thomas takes the language even further: “We are at the end.” Now, that does not mean he gave a date for the Second Coming. He didn’t. He did not claim Church leaders have been given a secret timetable either. But the urgency of his wording is difficult to ignore. And there is another fascinating connection. President Russell M. Nelson famously warned that “in coming days” it would not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost. Elder Thomas uses nearly identical language—and does so immediately after declaring: “The time is now.” That raises an important question: Are we reaching the period President Nelson was warning us about? But perhaps the most surprising part of Elder Thomas’s message is what he tells us to actually do about it. Not panic. Not calculate dates. Not obsess over every headline. Instead: Walk with God. Become Zion. Receive the Holy Ghost. Minister. Love people. Invite them to Christ. And change whatever needs to change in our own lives. Perhaps the most important question is no longer simply: How close is the Second Coming? Maybe it is: If Jesus Christ really is coming, are we becoming the kind of people prepared to receive Him? 🙏 This Saturday episode may be one of the most direct stake conference reports we’ve covered yet. And because the original words were preserved in a recording, you can hear exactly what was said for yourself. 🔥 FIND THE FULL STORY AT RISE ZION What do you make of the phrase: “We can’t share everything that is shared with us in leadership conferences”? And have leaders in your own ward or stake recently spoken more directly about the Second Coming, Zion, or preparing to receive the Savior? I’d especially like to hear from those attending stake conferences outside Utah. 🌎 #SecondComing #JesusChrist #LDS #LatterDaySaints #RiseZion #StakeConference #Zion #LivingProphets #ChurchNews #SignsOfTheTimes
