We’ve raised $61M to execute on our long term mission of reclaiming American tech superiority. I’m very grateful for everyone who believes in us, and especially grateful for all our Vector team, industry partners, and backers. There’s a lot of work ahead to prepare America for the next fight. It’s going to take a village. 🇺🇸

10 years ago I issued my first term sheet to @GeorgeMatusJr when he was a high school senior. I knew I wanted to invest in what ever he would build for the rest of his life. I get another chance today. Today I’m excited to share that this summer @Pelion_VP led the series A in @TFVector along with @lightspeedvp @p72vc @HarpoonVentures @runventures_vc @KickstartFund @ShieldCapital I was able to meet @AndrewYakulis and instantly knew that he was a special entrepreneur; he served our country for 18 years in the Army and is now serving our country by building @TFVector. The team Andy has assembled is world class and has moved as fast as any startup I have seen. With @GeorgeMatusJr, Larsen and Matt as co-founders, Vector has the team and the opportunity to build the world’s most important defense company this century. LFG!

This video should be sobering for the West. The U.S. needs dozens of factories with this scale for a range of drone types. Manufacturing is the first hurdle to solve; innovation can take place en route.

Longer video of the Shahed drone factory in Russia. Notice the factory is full of high tech equipment. At the very least the CNC machines you see were probebly procured from the West.

This is a crucial initiative, and I know not all the Army had to say on the topic, but it’s worth making clear the essential task of drone dominance is the demand signal to incentivize companies to scale manufacturing “left of bang.” The attritable nature of systems means we will be able to adapt as requirements change, but the initial signal has to happen now. @PattyNieberg
