The future of horse racing depends on the people who care for its horses.
Oaklawn is proud to support the next generation of equine veterinarians at Arkansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. At the dedication of the Dash Goff Equine Center – Nodouble Barn, Oaklawn General Manager Wayne Smith presented two checks totaling $10,000 to the college.
Named in recognition of thoroughbred owner and breeder Dash Goff’s $1 million gift, the center will give veterinary students hands-on experience caring for horses and help prepare them to serve horses, trainers, and owners across Arkansas and beyond.
Its name also carries a special connection to Oaklawn: Nodouble, bred and owned by Dash’s father, Gene Goff, won the 1968 Arkansas Derby.
We’re honored to celebrate a milestone that connects Arkansas’s racing history with the future of equine care.

Last night, we asked Chris Curry about his decision to sign a five-year extension with @LittleRockBSB.
He said a few schools "kicked the tires," but Curry never had any personal conversations with another team.

Nori -- widely regarded as one of the league's top assistants -- has been in the NBA coaching ranks since 2009 and now takes over in Portland on a multiyear deal.
