Tennessee announced today the approval of a historic broadband expansion through the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program. The state-administered broadband investment plan will bring more than $200 million in BEAD funding to unserved and underserved communities across the state.
Upon completion of the projects funded, all Tennessee businesses and residents will have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
This announcement marks the beginning of TNECD's "Road to 100" campaign, highlighting real stories from across the state about how broadband and digital literacy are transforming lives, supporting small businesses, strengthening education and powering rural communities forward.
