Heartbreaking news in my home province. As a mother & grandmother I am beyond devastated. My prayers to the innocent victims & their families & also the first responders & healthcare providers. Canadians are tough & strong but should never have to experience a tragedy like this.
Today is #WorldCancerDay & it’s also the anniversary month of my 2017 diagnosis for rectal cancer. Been a tough & rewarding stretch, but here I am thanks to @BCCancer, @drcarl_vancouvr & the love & support of great family & friends. Screening matters so please do it. Best to all!
I can’t take credit for these wise words (thanks Donna Ashworth), but they seemed especially timely on a Sunday near tax time in Canada. As a cancer survivor I know each day should be cherished but it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind. So have a great Sunday & Go🇨🇦in 🏒
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness month so @BCCancer is trying to get the word out about the importance of screening. Be it a FIT test, colonoscopy or other tests, please do them as recommended. My 2017 colonoscopy led to special memories with Makenna❤️ theprovince.com/sponsored/he…

Although 2022 had some dreadful events (RIP Wayne & Lissy), I will remember it as the year our sweet grand-daughter was born❤️. Also proud of both of our sons (below with Makenna) who have done well with their careers. Am grateful to have NED 5 yrs after my cancer dx, so f-u ca!
Wishing all a safe & wonderful holiday season. I’ll always remember 2022 as they year we were blessed to become grandparents & also being told I have no evidence of disease 5 years out from my 2017 rectal cancer diagnosis. Very grateful for both & wish all a healthy & happy 2023!

An unthinkable & senseless tragedy in Saskatchewan. This picture of the 10 innocent victims killed really hits hard & makes me both sad & angry as Myles Sanderson should not have been on parole given his horrid criminal record. Parole reforms are needed as such a tragic result😭.

Five years ago today I was recovering at St. Paul’s Hospital from a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy & TaTME to remove my rectum with a malignant tumour. Grateful to @BCCancer & @drcarl_vancouvr as last week my 5 year bloodwork showed no recurrence, so look forward to more of this
Okay @FlairAirlines, bad enough you cancel my flight last Wed to YXE 5 hours before take-off, then don’t honour my meal voucher, but today you text me about a flight I never booked this Saturday🤦♀️. Been trying to get through for over an hour, so can someone please contact me.
