With flash flooding and heavy rainfall expected to continue across parts of Far North Queensland over the coming days following Tropical Cyclone Narelle, we’re asking everyone to take extra care on our roads.
• If travel is essential, always plan your journey ahead, check conditions, and allow extra time for lower speeds, delays and diversions.
• Visit qldtraffic.qld.gov.au for real-time traffic alerts, road closures and road condition updates.
• Remember, your car can’t protect you in floodwater—if it’s flooded, forget it.
Please stay safe and look out for yourself, your family and your community during this time. 💙
