Couple things in here Viking fans…
The Colts have lost 10 straight games against teams with a record at .500 or better and 7 straight true road games
The Colts are likely to not have Gardner for the matchup of Justin Jefferson.
Some more Vikings Colts tidbits below
Quenton Nelson was asked about his long-term #Colts future today:

How many Vikings cornerbacks on the list?
🤯
Lowest passer rating allowed by NFL cornerbacks entering Week 7:
🔒 Kristian Fulton, KC - 10.7
🔒 Trent McDuffie, LAR - 22.5
🔒 Isaiah Rodgers, MIN - 31.4
🔒 Nehemiah Pritchett, SEA - 35.3
🔒 James Pierre, MIN - 37.6

Vikings featured in multiple moves where the capital they give up is better spent on other players on the list.
PFF has them trading for Herbert and Barkley all while the Bears add Jeffery Simmons and the Packers land Quenton Nelson.

Ten trades that would SHAKE UP the NFL 🤯

What has Aaron Jones done while Jordan Mason was out?
“He took 90% of the Vikings' running back carries and played 81% of the team's overall offensive snaps…His 85 carries and 97 total touches were second most in the NFL over that period”
ON TOP OF THAT…over those 4 games,
“His 370 rushing yards…were more than every NFL running back other than Bijan Robinson and James Cook.”
Incredible stretch of games for Jones to hold down the fort and article from @SeifertESPN.
Vikings RB Aaron Jones has been playing most of this stretch without Jordan Mason with a sprained MCL in his left knee, per @SeifertESPN.
This injury he said he has suffered on two other occasions in previous seasons but had never been able to play through.
DAWGGG!
From the latest episode of the @AlecLewisShow…
“Demond Claiborne is an interesting guy right now, where it just hasn't felt like, from an explosiveness standpoint, we saw it on the practice field all summer. And all fall.
But he doesn't play a ton on special teams. He hasn't acclimated. And if the opportunity, you know, the opportunity was there the last few weeks to generate more touches.
It just hasn't happened. So, it will kind of be interesting to see what his role is moving forward.”
Through his 4 active games this season, Claiborne has taken 18 offensive snaps. He’s accumulated 13 yards on 6 carries adding another 6 yards on 2 receptions.

Critical game against the Niners in a few weeks.
Seasons like this don’t happen often. Hopefully, the Vikings organization sees that too.
Should be a fun couple weeks before the trade deadline.
The Purple Persuasion retweeted
Sleepers that could hit the trade block:
Couple of interesting names dropped by @DanGrazianoESPN and @JFowlerESPN as sleeper trade candidates I’d be interested in, Vita Vea and Jessie Bates III.
On Vea from Graziano… “The Buccaneers are 1-5. Vea is 31 years old, and he and the team begrudgingly came to a compromise agreement on his contract during training camp. The Bucs didn't act as if he was part of their long-term future, and if teams come looking for a big, run-stuffing defensive tackle, Tampa would be silly not to listen.”
Fowler on Bates… “ could a team pry safety Jessie Bates III out of Atlanta? He will be a free agent in 2027, and the Falcons are sitting at 2-4. I doubt Atlanta wants to trade him, but his value would be strong if that changes.”
Shemar Stewart was also mentioned, but he lacks the resume of the other two.
Adding to either line will go a long way for the Vikings this season.
Lots of words were said, but these were the most important...
"When you look at the Minnesota Vikings being 5-0 with Kyler Murray on a vet minimum deal, with Brian Flores in a situation where we could be talking about him being the head coach of somebody next year. I think pretty quickly the Vikings are in a situation where you may look up and this may be our only shot within this specific window.”
Those are the facts, do with them what you will.
Could the #Vikings make a Quenton Nelson sized splash at the #NFL trade deadline?

Percentage chance the Vikings trade for one (or more) of these positions:
DL: 90%
TE: 60%
iOL: 50%
Tier 2/3 RB: 40%
S: 20%
I fully think the Vikings come out with at least 2 quality players by the trade deadline.
DL will be one, which I feel confident in. After that, ~ coin flips.
Tend to agree with this sentiment. I don't think people realize the attachment Kevin O'Connell has to Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones.
I wouldn't rule out a tier 2/3 back like Tony Pollard.
A top end RB isn't 0% but it's close too it.
Justin Jefferson is currently on pace to finish 2026 with...
81 rec on 102 targets 1097 yds and 13 TDs.
The TDs would be the most of his career but the yardage is on pace for 2023 and 2025 levels.
The Vikings offense needs to come out of the bye like the Vikings defense did going into it, as the best unit in the league and the runway is there to take off.
According to @SumerSports, the next 3 Vikiings opponents ranking at the bottom of the league in defensive EPA/play the Colts (24), Lions (32), and Bills (30).
They'll need it because the next two games against the Packers (5) and 49ers (8) are going to be their biggest tests of the season.
The ball is in KOC's and Kyler's hands.
Skor North won their Super Bowl, now its the Vikings turn.
Congratulations Phil, Judd, Dex, and Co.
On Tuesday night in NYC, Purple Daily was awarded a national Marconi for podcast of the year!
Eight years ago, @SKORNorth was an idea on a whiteboard. How could we build a series of shows for Minnesota sports fans that would be sustainable in a digital world?
Pretty cool to see how much you all, the fiercely passionate audience and fans, have supported this.
Thanks to everyone who is part of our Purple Daily and SKOR North communities. We appreciate you to no end.
Shout out to our incredible and relentless SKOR North & Hubbard team. Innovators and great humans.
To @jzulgad and @DexsTweets specifically, I love being in the trenches with you both every day on Purple Daily.
Now — or someday, before we die — it’s the Vikings’ turn… 👀
