TRACBASEBALL

Last night was a great reminder of what makes the Red Wave so special. More than 40,000 strong showed up, our students were incredible, and our Bulldogs delivered a 49-3 WIN. That deserves to be celebrated. I also want to recognize the people behind the scenes who worked tirelessly all offseason to make Game 1 better Events/Facilities, Bulldog Sports Enterprises, Tickets, Marketing, Communications, Creative, the BDF, our Band and so many others. A fresh coat of paint throughout the stadium. The Boneyard. New signage and beautification. The Modelo Block Party. The tractor leading our team onto the field. New ribbon boards. The T-shirt cannon firing out 500 t-shirts. More camera angles and replays. Bringing back old traditions. New in-game elements like the Nut Race. Ralph Edwards performing. And a lot more that fans may never see. Did we get everything right? No. The sound issues were not good enough. We had some lighting and frequency issues we did not encounter during testing. We heard you, our staff was already making adjustments during the game, and we’ll be back at it immediately. We expect better, and we will get better. But I also don’t want the things we need to fix to overshadow everything that went right or the enormous amount of work our people put into creating a better experience for the Red Wave. Keep giving us feedback. Keep holding us to a high standard. That passion is part of what makes this place different. And today, let’s enjoy a Bulldog win. 1-0 at home. 49-3. More than 40,000 strong. And we’re just getting started. #GoDogs
