The 'special relationship' has been underpinned significantly by a shared economic model.
But as politics on both sides of the Atlantic begins to become increasingly interventionist, what does it mean for UK-US relations in the future?

A bad night for Trump also means this is becoming a bad night for Gianni Infantino. Expect major scrutiny of his and FIFAβs ties to Trump administration if/when Democrats take the house.

Sooo what you're saying is Birmingham's council is quite representative of its population?
I'm sure Trump will accept the results with his usual grace.

Manchester United's owners will have those tennis balls on ebay by full time.
Sooner or later the veterans will be post-Fergie too.
Look forward to seeing Maguire in the dugout, Shaw Assistant Manager. Herrera set-piece coach.
There's a broad consensus that 'the problem isn't the manager' amongst United fans and the problem is upstairs.
It's time to consider the possibility that both things can be true at once, you have an underqualifed manager and a shit board.

My dreams of being a poet vanished like a thing in a whatever.
Can we please stop sharing footage of Jesus de Miguel Alameda's final moments?
It's deeply disrespectful to him and his family who won't want to watch it every time they're online.
Part of a morbid trend on this app.

Voters have had enough of what I can only call Trumpβs Third World vibe. His territorial claims on neighbours and his petty insistence on renaming lakes and oceans, his obsession with building monstrous triumphal arches, his refusal to understand the difference between the Nobel Prize Committee and the Norwegian state (βa shithouse countryβ), his demands that political opponents be locked up; and, now, his overt electoral bribery, his offer to send a $5,000 cheque to every American if the Republicans hold Congress.
Nowhere is the Third Worldery more visible than in the way the presidentβs coterie has grown rich in office. The gifts from foreign governments, the digital currency racket β these would, until an eye-blink ago, have been unthinkable in the US. A handy test of whether you are in a tinpot autocracy is that the richest people are not entrepreneurs but presidential cronies.
Paywall down.

The damage and shame that this White House has brought upon the U.S. will last for decades.
Only me thinking the people of south London dress rather eccentrically these days completely forgetting it's Halloween
