"Our only concern is his long-term health. ... It's not a meniscus... It's just an arthroscopic clean up." Timberwolves GM Tim Connelly spoke with reporters about the status of Anthony Edwards' knee surgery. (via @azoulayharon)

This one hurts 💔 Anthony Edwards will undergo a procedure on his right knee, and the belief is that for right now, he will be out for more than 2 months, according to @JonKrawczynski. And it comes right as he was playing the best basketball of his life. Four games in, Ant was averaging 33.3 points per game, second in the NBA. He dropped 45 on the Heat on opening night, then went for 47 in an overtime loss to the Cavs two nights ago. And the Ant + LaMelo era? It was working. The Wolves opened 3-1 with one of the league's most electric offenses, scoring 122 a night with the second-best point differential in the NBA. We were barely scratching the surface of what this backcourt could be. Now the wait begins. Get well soon, Ant 🙏
