It’s Giving Tuesday, and we are honoured to share the story of Andy Cook. In 2018, after decades of trauma in both the military and policing, he reached a breaking point and took a step he avoided for years — he asked for help. The help he received changed his life and allowed him to pay his experience forward to assist others.
As he enters retirement after 38 years of service, he left us with one important message: “You must fight for your mental health, just as fiercely as you fight for others."

Our MADD Chapters in BC were and continue to be sorely affected by the awful weather. Now our Atlantic Provinces will be hit by terrible rains up to 400 mm. May all the members of our MADD Family be safe.

Two children, their mother and grandfather killed last week by an impaired driver. This repeat offender did have an alcohol interlock in his car in 2017. These devices can be maintained when there is evidence of dependency. It might have saved 4 lives.
Asked by media today what could help stop impaired driving in Quebec. Give us a warn range like the rest of Canada. We are the only province where our police officers cannot give administrative sanctions at .05%.
