Despite the #snowy ❄ ☃ weather, we had a fantastic time in one of our neighboring #EastMidlands cities, #Lincoln. We were hosted at the Lincoln Computer Science department and Lincoln’s Institute for Agri-food (LIAT), along with our collaborators from @Rothamsted. It was great to see many exciting projects on #agrirobots, #farming , #cropscience, #robotic and #AI. I had the pleasure of discussing our work on #tinyML and the opportunities for #AI on tiny edge devices 'edgecomputing in #smartfarming 🐄 🐑 📴 and #agriculture. aieastmidlands.co.uk/

Had a fantastic day at #SilwoodCampus, #LifeScience Department, @imperialcollege , participating in a scoping &collaboration event that brought together @CABI_News scientists, experts, and academics from various departments at Imperial. I had the pleasure of delivering a short talk on the potential of #tinyML #edgecomputing #AI #Sensing for life sciences in open space environments. The event featured a wide array of fascinating presentations, covering topics from Envirorobotics and remote sensing to microbiology, plant science, bioengineering, biopesticides, invasive species, #machinelearning, #datascience, and #digitaltechnologies. Looking forward to engage in further interactions and foster fruitful collaborations with both teams.

New Fully Funded PhD studentship opportunity under my supervision AI-Enhanced Adolescent Well-being: The SHIELD Initiative Throughout the project, the student will employ cutting-edge AI & Natural Language Processing (NLP) and #appdevelopment, including for developing advanced #languagemodels, Machine Learning for data-driven insights, Generative Language Models for personalized content, and Adaptive Systems for tailored and shared services. A significant component of the project involves integrating these AI tools seamlessly within a mobile app. This mobile app will deliver personalized support for adolescents while aiding psychology students in engaging with adolescents through virtual sessions. The goal is to create an adaptive system that caters to the unique needs of each adolescent while facilitating collaborative decision-making with psychology students. Applicants for this PhD position should possess a background in data science, computer science or related fields.
