All you need is some mountains, some guns, cheap drones, and Faith. The era of revolution has barely started.
how do you even defeat a state that has modern technology? sometimes i fear the era of revolution is over

“Spanish Republican torture chambers called ‘chekas’ inspired by Wassily Kandinsky” Sublime.
Prison cells built during the Spanish Civil War were designed as “psycho-technical” torture chambers inspired by the work of surrealist painter Salvador Dali and abstract artists Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee, among others. The Military Information Service of the Spanish Republican Army contracted Alphonse Laurencic, a French citizen of Slovenian heritage to design the cells, meant to hold known or suspected Nationalists who were aligned with General Franco’s fascist forces. Laurencic was an artist, musician, and architect as well as an anarchist and member of the National Confederation of Workers. The cells were built inside Catholic churches by forced laborers who first stripping out all religious iconography before construction. The jails were called ‘Chekas’ in honor of the original Soviet secret police organization because the USSR was providing support to the Republican government at the time. At least three Chekas were built between 1937 and 1939, in the Santa Úrsula convent in Valencia and the churches on Vallmajor and Zaragoza streets in Barcelona. The tiny beds were tilted at 20-degree angles so that prisoners would slide off onto the floor if they ever fell asleep, and some rooms had a very high, angled chair which was impossible to sit on. The floors themselves were covered with a random pattern of standing bricks meant to keep the prisoner from walking or lying down. Green and red flashing lights would wear them down mentally, and the walls were painted with geometric patterns intended to provoke dizziness and visual discomfort. Prisoners could also hear an amplified metronome which moved at varying speeds and were kept within sight of a clock that ran too fast, all to further disorient them. After General Franco’s forces claimed victory over the Republicans, the new government put Laurencic on trial in front of a military tribunal, and he was executed in 1939. His work on the prison cells was largely unknown for more than 60 years, until art historian Jose Milicua uncovered a document summarizing Laurencic’s trial. #spain #civilwar #surrealism #modernism #bauhaus

At the Second National Congress of the American Communist Party, delegates voted unanimously in favor of ending U.S. recognition of Israel and severing all ties between the United States and the Zionist Entity. The American Communist Party stands firmly with the Palestinian people and their struggle for national liberation. Free Palestine! 🇵🇸

At the nadir of Zionism’s popularity, Democratic Socialists believe it’s the perfect time to help bake the Zionist narrative of Al-Aqsa Flood as a “war crime” into history and leave it completely unchallenged. “Yeah Israel got war crimed, but they shouldn’t have killed a ton of people after.” Do you see how impotent and self-undermining this is? Why: because Zohran’s strategy depends on becoming so harmless and friendly to the Zionist Democratic establishment that they can’t help but accept him.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

This meme is stupid. Latin America doesn’t “swing between left and right” all the time. The 21st century Pink Tide rode the wave of alter-globalization and Hugo Chavez, who was immensely popular. Chavez, Correa, Morales, Kirchner, and Lula were more or less aligned and united and politically bold and ambitious, some like Chavez, Morales, and Correa even radical. They all believed in Bolivarianism. The Pink Tide collapsed in the 2010s with the collapse in commodity and oil prices and when these leaders termed out, were sabotaged, or died. When the “new pink tide” came in the 2020s, it was goobers like Gustavo Petro and Gabriel Boric, instant flops and subjects of sabotage like Pedro Castillo and to a lesser extent Xiomara Castro, glasses-wearers like Luis Arce, and then Lula who won in large part due to Biden admin pressure. This is to say it was a totally different breed of the left: their movements were disorganized, their politics were confused and unprincipled with regards to imperialism, Bolivarianism, and Venezuela, and so they were easily divided, and they were naive and vulnerable to right-wing political sabotage. It’s like a pendulum that swings but loses momentum each time “Oh just wait till the next elections in 4 years” You were coasting off the aura of Hugo Chavez for 20 years. He opened up the electoral arena for the left in Latin America. But everyone turned their backs on Venezuela and thinks they can still do what he made possible. Nah bruh
South America has been swinging from left to right pretty wildly for a while now Nada nuevo bajo el sol

The power that Evangelicalism has over Latin Americans is immense. Meet any Guatemalan or Honduran auntie and they’ll be Evangelical It’s mostly the aunts who are super zealous and get into it via Facebook memes and the charisma of the local preacher, and then they wrangle the rest of the family. That’s how my whole family in Colombia turned from everyday Catholic mass-goers into Evangelicals in the span of like a year. It’s weird

Where was this desperate, anxious energy from the Deprogram people when the last bulwark of the Latin American sovereign left was kidnapped at gunpoint? Why does Washed Up Lula deserve all this hysteria?
The second round of the Brazilian elections is 100% winnable. No matter what you think about Lula, a Bolsonaro government literally means a million data centres in the Amazon and a complete and utter destruction of Brazilian sovereignty under total US Miami style subservience. All eyes on Brazil, you got this camaradas

Shoutout Zach Bryan for repping Palestine and New England revolutionary culture this weekend at Gillette Stadium. The Pine Tree flag flew at the Battle of Bunker Hill, where the Patriots had only Heaven to appeal to for the right to rebel against tyranny. We made our own chapter shirts to reflect this history! Today, the Palestinian resistance and their allies lead the world in embodying this revolutionary spirit. But soon the American people, too, will remember where they came from.

🧵The gender war makes sense when you understand that courtship/sexuality has been FULLY subsumed by market logic & bourgeois subjectivism. Stripped of ideological abstraction, the social relation of "consent" is a verbal contract to exchange sexual property for social capital.
Yeah it’s honestly not that crazy to me to “revoke consent” Legally that may not fly, but if some crazy shit happens to you and you “agree” in the moment, that doesn’t mean you’re not a victim, and you’re not lying if you “change your mind” / realize that. And yeah adults can “consent” to do evil/depraved shit like below and still belong in a gulag for a year or two.

Consent-based morality is satanic toxic sludge. Everyone in this photo should be arrested whether they "consented" or not

“every single Republican is more libertarian than every single Democrat.” This is why the Libertarian Party will fail Because they understand themselves not as an independent organization aimed against the state power that actually acts as a tyrannical force over society. They see themselves as a lobby group of that tyrannical force, asking it to be a little nicer.
