I lived in Lebanon for 15 years, and during that time I visited southern Lebanon more times than I can remember.
The first few times I went to the Israeli-Lebanese border, there was just a fence.
You could see the beautiful farms on the Israeli side. Sometimes you’d notice people going about their work, and every now and then an Israeli patrol passing between the double fence.
On the Lebanese side, I saw the Shia villages, people immersed in a culture of sacred violence.
Flags everywhere. Images of Khamenei, Hassan Nasrallah, and Hezbollah fighters. Slogans on buildings that made everything feel heavy and ugly.
A few years later, Israel reinforced the fence. There had been harassment of soldiers, and more security was needed. Still, you could catch glimpses of the other side, the contrast remained.
A couple of years later, I was sad when I went to the usual spot and found a massive wall. All I could see was the ugliness on our side.
Israel never initiated aggression against us. It was pushed to build checkpoints, fences, and walls, and when necessary, to come in and deal with those who know nothing but death.
Mario frames his post as if Israel wants to occupy and control Lebanon, when in reality Israel is doing what the incompetent Lebanese government failed to do for decades.
Israel wants to live in peace with its neighbors. It is the neighbors, driven by a divine mandate to erase Israel, who keep bringing out the worst in it.
🇮🇱🇱🇧Israel's conditions for Lebanon leaked and they amount to a partition plan...
Diplomatic sources told Al-Modon that Israel wants Lebanon divided into three zones:
Zone 1: An 8km buffer strip in the south. Permanent. No return for displaced civilians.
Zone 2: Everything south of the Litani River becomes a military operations area where Israel dismantles Hezbollah infrastructure and disarms it completely.
Israeli forces leave only when they decide they're finished.
Zone 3: North of the Litani and all remaining Lebanon.
The Lebanese Army must fully disarm and dismantle Hezbollah on its own.
Israel won't withdraw from anywhere until Beirut proves it's done.
In other words, Israel occupies the south indefinitely, controls the middle until satisfied, and holds the north hostage to conditions Lebanon's army almost certainly cannot meet.
Hezbollah has been embedded in Lebanese society for 40 years.
Demanding the Lebanese Army dismantle it is like demanding someone perform surgery on themselves.
Today Rubio hosts Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors in Washington for the most direct high-level meeting between the two countries since 1993.
These conditions are what Israel walks in with.
The State Department framing: "Israel is at war with Hezbollah, not Lebanon."
The Israeli plan: occupy a third of Lebanon until every last Hezbollah weapon is accounted for.
Those two statements cannot coexist.

As we wake up this weekend, news of yet another violent attack on Jewish children.
These are just some of the violent acts aimed at Jewish communities in the West this month.
Where is the outrage?
A warning: antisemitism will always bring down the society that tolerates it.
🚨 EXPLOSION AT JEWISH SCHOOL IN AMSTERDAM
The mayor calls this a deliberate attack on the Jewish community.
The incident comes one day after four suspects were arrested over an explosion outside a synagogue in Rotterdam.
At least nine Diaspora synagogues have been targeted this month.

The remaining Iranian players have been forced onto a plane back to Iran.
Suffering, torture and possibly execution awaits them for defying the regime.
And Australia allowed it.
I have no words.
This picture will live in infamy.

Fascinating to observe the almost total silence from loudly pro-Palestinian celebrities & media figures re the courageous Iranian protestors
risking their lives for freedom and democracy. Suggests their hatred of Israel overrides intellectual honesty and principle.

As a Palestinian who refuses to parrot our leadership’s lies, I have to say it bluntly: Telling Mizrahi Jews - Jews from Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, and the rest of the Arab world, that they are doing “ethnic cleansing” to us is the gaslight of the century.
Let’s start with facts. Mizrahi Jews didn’t “come from Europe.” They lived in the Middle East for thousands of years, long before Islam, long before Arab conquest, long before any modern state. Their ancestors spoke the same ancient Hebrew mentioned in the Qur’an’s stories, they prayed facing Jerusalem, and their communities in Babylon, Damascus, and Sana’a existed for over 2,500 years. They are as indigenous to this region as the olive trees, as native to the Middle East as we are.
When Arab states turned against them in the 20th century, after Israel was established, they were ethnically cleansed: homes looted, businesses seized, citizenship revoked, synagogues burned, people lynched. Nearly a million Jews were expelled from Arab lands. Most fled to Israel with nothing.
And now, decades later, our leadership dares to call them the colonizers? The same families who were driven from Baghdad, Aleppo, and Tripoli - who rebuilt their lives from refugee camps in Israel, are accused of committing the same crime that was done to them. That’s not just hypocrisy; it’s historical amnesia.
If we truly want justice, we have to stop gaslighting our neighbors and start acknowledging that their story is Middle Eastern too.
Our liberation won’t come from denying theirs.

Dear everybody who just woke up to the chilling discovery of the world reframing Charlie Kirk, misquoting him, and rewriting him as an oppressor to retroactively justify his murder:
Welcome to every day since October 7th.

NEW: We’re shedding light on Hamas’s playbook to try to shut down the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
They hate us because our model is working. We have delivered 56 million meals in just one month, and for the first time ever, aid is going directly to civilians, not terror organizations.
Here’s the latest on the various tools and tactics Hamas is using to try to stop us, and why we won’t let them.

The reason Jews are so successful in every field is that, unlike other people, they do not blame the Jews for every problem they have.

My brother and wife (who was a Palestinian Christian) were stopped at a checkpoint in 1974 and harassed by PLO militia (in Beirut). They asked to have my brother's watch and remarked that his wife was pretty (hint, hint).
Many Palestinian militia groups were involved in the Lebanese civil war, the great majority of whom would have killed us.
My family was driven by PLO militia to the Beirut International airport on our way out of Lebanon (thank G-d that they did not put a bullet in our heads).
My parents were kidnapped by Fatah and held in captivity (where bad things happened to them).
Our home in Beirut was stolen by Palestinian refugees (we never got it back).
BUT, Kiffeyeh Karen from Oberlin College knows more about the situation than I do.
Incidentally, I harbor no ill will toward Palestinians notwithstanding my tragic personal history. I accepted the reality and I moved on. Perhaps the "Nakba" folks need to accept that Israel is here to stay. There is room for everyone in that region to have a good life but only if you are willing to accept the right of your neighbors to exist.

Anti-Israel company loses $200 million value in two days.
Just days after the CEO of Hims said he would hire anti-Israel college students, the company value has dropped a staggering $200 million.
CEO Andrew Dudum offered to hire university protests engaged in boycotting Israel.
Taking to X he said:
“If you’re currently protesting against the genocide of the Palestinian people & for your university’s divestment from Israel, keep going. It’s working.
There are plenty of companies & CEOs eager to hire you, regardless of university discipline.”
He then posted a link to his companies recruitment website.
As of 4PM EDT, his company has lost $200 million in value- an 8.01% drop.

There is no country that is consistently attacked by their enemies + then told to use restraint when defending themselves (despite superior military) more than Israel. I want peace for all innocents in Middle East. I also fully support Israel's right to exist + defend itself.
