I'm getting a lot of comments about XRP price and why it's not moving so let me explain once more how XRP price is determined for the new people to this space and those that still have trouble understanding🧵

imagine if every time you bought something. you invested in the company you bought from. like, if you bought a coffee from starbucks, you got shares. win-win for companies and customers. way better than any loyalty scheme.

I am putting this out there now for the $XRP community so that no one can say I didn't give fair NOTICE. When STRAT-X Launches my calculations indicate that we could be producing 1TB of history for every 130m transactions. With previous hourly runs of just the 5 QFS tokens we were reaching 1.5m transactions per day, or about 40% of the ledger. With that as a benchmark, 1,000 tokens launched on the STRAT-X platform could be creating about 1TB of history every two hours. For obvious reasons, that is not sustainable for most full history nodes if any. Below is a description of what fallout should be expected. In some ways, this could be seen as transitioning $XRP to a privacy token.

America has Failed as a Nation. It's a TREASONOUS ABOMINATION to the Christian Nation our Founding Fathers created. The Rot, Evil, Corrupt, Immoral virus has infected too much now.

Agreed! RLUSD isn’t competing with XRP. It’s competing with other stablecoins. Use case matters, and I want those use cases running on the XRPL.

What's the difference between XRP and stablecoins like RLUSD? RLUSD is optional. XRP isn't. RLUSD is a dollar-backed token issued by Ripple. As the issuer, Ripple has to follow US law and can freeze RLUSD. XRP has no issuer and no jurisdiction, and nobody can freeze it. It's a commodity. XRP also has a privileged role on the XRP Ledger. Every account can hold it by default, and everyone has to use it: accounts need an XRP reserve, and every transaction fee is paid in XRP. RLUSD you have to opt into it (TRUST-line). On top of that, the DEX automatically checks whether bridging through XRP gives a better rate on a cross-currency swap (e.g. USD → EUR). No other asset gets that by default. Another important difference: XRP is volatile. Like any commodity, it isn't backed by anything, so its price is whatever the market says it is. That volatility is exactly what attracts traders and investors. RLUSD is the opposite: 1 RLUSD = 1 USD. Just from this we can already see that different use cases gravitate towards each asset. Whenever you need stable value for payroll, invoices etc, don't hold a volatile asset like XRP. Price swings shouldn't decide whether you can fund your operations. Stablecoins for any national currency fit here, and RLUSD is one of many even among the dollar stablecoins. Whenever you need a neutral asset that nobody controls, not even a government, and you want to reduce your counterparty risk, XRP is the only choice on the XRP Ledger. There is no alternative. Turns out these properties also make XRP very attractive to market makers bridging pools of liquidity. They only have to worry about XRP's price, not whether the issuer of some token runs into trouble. The more successful the XRP Ledger becomes, the more accepted XRP becomes and to make it successful we leverage our strengths and the things we are good at. This includes the activity of stablecoins and other assets.

Let me explain what most people are missing on the Binance hack. Biggest theft in crypto history. Roughly $6.3B moved out of Binance wallets in a short window on Oct 29. Binance says the early read is a compromised DevOps laptop, not a private-key leak. Blockchain firms are pointing at North Korea's TraderTraitor group with high confidence. Binance says about $3B has been frozen so far, and they'll cover the rest from SAFU and company funds. Here's the part that matters for XRP holders. The attackers took freezable assets and unfreezable ones at the same time. USDT, USDC, RLUSD can be frozen by the issuer. BTC, ETH, and XRP can't. Chainalysis mapped the race: the hacker tried to swap stablecoins into ETH before the freezes landed. They got some through. They didn't get all of it. Ripple froze about 40.5M RLUSD still sitting in attacker wallets, and Binance co-founder Yi He publicly thanked Ripple for helping stop roughly $200M from moving. Tether and Circle froze billions more on their rails. That isn't a gotcha against stablecoins. That's the feature institutions keep asking for when real money is on the line. And no, this was not an XRPL protocol breach. TRM's tally shows Binance hot wallets on about ten chains got hit, including roughly 233M XRP that left Binance's own XRPL addresses. Same story as the ETH and BTC outflows: exchange custody, not the ledger breaking. The ledger kept settling. The hot wallet signing path was the problem. For years people called XRP the "bank coin" like it was an insult. Last night the biggest exchange in the world leaned on a compliant issuer layer to claw back stolen funds in hours. Banks want that tool. A neutral bridge asset that can't be frozen is a different tool. XRPL has both. RLUSD for the controlled dollar. XRP for the bridge that doesn't answer to an issuer freeze button. Honest takeaway for anyone holding here: 1. If your bags are on an exchange, you are under that exchange's security model. Binance says users are covered. That doesn't make "not your keys" a meme again. It makes it the lesson. 2. Freezeable rails and unfreezeable rails solve different jobs. Don't treat that as a culture war. Treat it as product design. 3. Days like this are when settlement plumbing gets stress-tested in public. Not the candle. The recovery path. Hope that helps.

Tether froze more than 1.567B USDT related to a potential Binance exchange hack. Protecting the industry and our partners is our main priority. Stay safe everyone.

This Is Crazy… 😳
This looks absolutely like the biggest hack crypto has ever seen. Even beyond crypto. $5.6 Billion dollars currently suspected to be hacked and the number is increasing. 88M RLUSD also involved from Binance.
