Irembo’s engagements in Seoul continued beyond the World Bank Group AI & Digital Summit, creating opportunities to deepen relationships, exchange practical experience, and learn from institutions shaping digital transformation in different contexts. The team began with a courtesy call at the Embassy of Rwanda in Seoul, reflecting on the week’s engagements and the broader opportunities for Rwanda’s digital ecosystem to connect with partners in the Republic of Korea.

We also met with the GOV24 team behind the Republic of Korea’s integrated civil-service portal. The exchange offered a valuable opportunity to compare approaches to digital public-service delivery, citizen experience, platform integration, and the evolution of government services at scale.

Through bilateral engagements with delegations from Congo-Brazzaville, Niger, Malawi, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Mozambique and Uganda, we explored national digital priorities, implementation challenges and areas where deeper collaboration can create value. These exchanges also give us an opportunity to share lessons from Rwanda while learning from the ambitions and realities of other markets.

For Irembo, these engagements are part of a broader commitment to contribute to the global conversation on trusted digital public infrastructure, stronger institutions and better access to services. The opportunity is not simply to digitise more. It is to build systems that work, earn trust and create meaningful outcomes for people.

At the Global AI & Digital Summit in Seoul, Irembo took part in a high-level, closed-door roundtable on the World Bank-UAE Zero Government Bureaucracy (ZGB) Program. Alongside Rwanda’s MINICT and government and World Bank representatives, participants exchanged perspectives on reducing administrative burdens and advancing more integrated, citizen-centered services. Rwanda’s experience with “Zero Trip, Zero Paper”, life-event-based services and interoperability contributed to this peer exchange on the future of government service delivery. #GADS2026 #DigitalGovernment #PublicServices #Irembo

This week, Irembo is in Singapore for AI Singapore’s ATLAS Language Summit and Partners Dialogue, joining global conversations on advancing AI for low-resource languages. This work connects directly to making digital public services more accessible and relevant to people in Rwanda. Sandra Akariza, Irembo’s Senior Strategy Manager, is joining discussions on three important themes: building and sourcing data for low-resource languages, developing community-based and dynamic evaluations, and understanding AI’s real-world impact on communities and cultures. Inclusive AI takes more than technology. It requires strong language foundations, meaningful community involvement, and solutions shaped around people’s needs. #Irembo #InclusiveAI #LowResourceLanguages #DigitalPublicServices

Last Friday, our CEO joined Vanguard Economics leadership and team for a learning session, sharing insights and perspectives. It was a valuable opportunity for knowledge-sharing and learning from one another. What made the session especially valuable was how naturally the conversation moved across different topics, from building digital services people can trust and use with confidence to lessons from IremboGov and IremboPay, leadership, and what it takes to build and adapt in a fast-moving environment. More than a formal fireside chat, it became an open and genuinely engaging exchange.

A patient should not have to start again at every step of the healthcare journey. At Within Reach: Building a More Connected Path to Care, @TeamIrembo presented an “ask once” vision for digital health: a system where identity, insurance, payments, referrals and patient information connect securely around the citizen. Through #IremboMedi, Irembo is applying its experience in digital public infrastructure to a practical health challenge. How can data continue serving a patient after the first interaction, while that patient retains control over who may use it? @israb12 and Carène Roxanne Umugwaneza also made inclusion concrete. Whether someone uses USSD, a smartphone, voice technology or requires an accessible interface, the pathway to care must still work. The standard is clear: fewer repeated processes, stronger coordination between providers and a simpler journey for every patient. #AHTS2026 #AHTSat5 #5YearsOfImpact #IremboMedi #DigitalHealth #HealthData

At the Africa HealthTech Summit, our CEO Israel Bimpe joined a technical panel exploring how connected data systems can enable better public health intelligence and responsible use of AI. He shared three principles that have shaped how we think about digital public services: zero trip, zero paper; ask-once; and leave no one behind, whether someone uses a smartphone, feature phone, or shared device. In health, these principles become even more important. Rwanda’s community-based health insurance journey shows what connected systems can make possible: identity verification, social registry checks, payments, and health records working together so that people can move through the system with fewer barriers and less repetition. The technology matters, but interoperability alone is not enough. What ultimately makes connected systems work is trust between institutions, shared standards, and technical teams building toward the same outcome

Yesterday at AHTS@5, we opened a new chapter. At Within Reach: Building a More Connected Path to Care, one message stood out: technology creates real value when it removes the barriers between people and the care they need. When insurance, payments, referrals, healthcare providers, and patient information work together, people can spend less time navigating processes and healthcare workers can spend more time delivering care. That is the thinking behind IremboMedi: bringing Irembo’s experience building trusted digital public infrastructure into health to help make care simpler, more connected, and closer to people. Care should not feel complicated. It should feel within reach. #AHTS5 #IremboMedi #DigitalHealth #Irembo

IremboMedi. Our next chapter in building services around people. The most meaningful technology begins with a clear understanding of people, the systems they rely on, and the moments when better connections can make a difference. For years, Irembo has built technology that helps people access essential public services. IremboMedi brings that experience into health, as we explore how simpler connections across patients, healthcare providers and the wider health system can help make care feel closer. Today, we are sharing the direction and opening the conversation.

We are live at AHTS@5 for Within Reach: Building a More Connected Path to Care. Opening the session, CEO Israël Bimpe connected Irembo's experience building trusted digital public infrastructure to the work of creating stronger, better-connected health systems. “The ambition is not to replace the health system with another layer of technology. It is the opposite. It is to make the health system that already exists easier to reach and navigate,” said Israël Bimpe.

Tracey McNeill, Digital Health Advisor at Irembo, focused on the practical experience of navigating care and the coordination needed so that digital systems reduce friction rather than add another layer. “Digital healthcare is not a magic pill. We need to understand the patient journey, identify where it breaks down, and use digitalisation and AI where they can remove those bottlenecks. Transformation is not digitising everything. It is making access easier and care better,” said Tracey

Dr Thierry Sebakunzi, Digital Health Advisor at the Ministry of Health, brought the health-system perspective to the discussion, including the importance of institutional alignment and building alongside existing public-health structures. “We are working with Irembo and other companies to shorten the time patients spend at health facilities. @IremboPay has already shown what this can achieve: beyond reducing queues, it has changed clinical workflows and enabled staff to focus more on supporting patients. When a patient spends four hours at a health facility but only 10 to 15 minutes with a doctor, most of that time is being lost to processes. Digitalisation should reduce that burden for both patients and healthcare workers, so more time and attention can return to care,” said Dr Thierry
