What I really think. We have too many Tesla fans who will say what people wanna hear. I'll say what I think is true. I would rather say what I believe is true and be disliked than to lie to comfort somebody's insecurities.

Yet another example of FSD having zero intuition. Car ahead is driving straight at an obstruction and not slowing or moving.
Any driver with eyes and a brain backs the hell off. Not staying on the throttle like nothing is happening as is shown here.

We’re scaling in a big way as we add nearly 250 square miles to our service areas from coast to coast. Over the next week, folks in Los Angeles, San Diego, Nashville, Orlando, and the San Francisco Bay Area can go even further with the same safe and reliable @Waymo rides you’ve come to love. waymo.com/blog/shorts/more-p…

Yes, it was in Seattle and yes, it was not in service with a customer and it would never do that anyway and yes, Tesla fans will tell me how dare you.
So just completely ignore all this and we all will be better off.

Credit where it's due: Tesla's driverless miles are growing fast, 30% in a single week, and Austin now has a real Tesla fleet carrying the public without anyone in the driver's seat. A year ago, that wasn't the case.
But "never a real contest" is a strange thing to say when you're behind by 7x on weekly miles and 87x on cumulative miles, and your one win depends on comparing your newest week to your rival's data from last spring.
What stands out to us is the type of autonomy Tesla is deploying. In 2020, Musk wrote that "Waymo is impressive, but a highly specialized solution," and that Tesla's approach was "a general solution." For years, Tesla fans dismissed Waymo as a geofenced system that only worked in mapped areas with lots of restrictions.
Now look at Tesla's Robotaxi: geofenced, no highways, avoiding railroad crossings, taking 70 minutes for 10-minute trips, and limited by hours because the software isn't ready for anything with "the slightest possible risk." By Musk's own old definition, that's a highly specialized solution. Waymo is the one driving on freeways now.
Musk declares Tesla Robotaxi win over Waymo, but Waymo still drives 7x more electrek.co/2026/10/27/musk-… by @fredlambert

APPLE, DID YOU DO THE SAME FOR THE iPhone Duo?

CrackGate is starting to look like a real problem for the $1,999 iPhone Duo.
Several owners have posted photos and videos of their inner screens cracking in almost the exact same spot, right around the hinge.
One Australian owner said their Duo cracked just six hours after getting it, after fewer than 20 folds, Apple replaced the phone.
One possible explanation is that something inside the hinge could be sitting too close to the OLED display and damaging it.
