The multiple accounts and ability to tie the X Money card to each provides enough blast radius protection for me.

X Money is really hard to beat - if you have money. 🤣

OK, maybe Barbie cars are not bad after all. Carry on in your Miata. 😉

Credit is super ironic; by the time you achieve a stellar score, you don't need it any longer.

It's really hard to beat, although I couldn't park in downtown Austin a couple weeks ago when the Long Center's public parking garage told me they couldn't accept tap-to-pay. Thankfully, a second drive-by revealed a spot at Terry Black's, and I was saved.
If a credit card’s benefits require a user manual or Grok to understand, it’s not worth it.
Sticking with my X Money debit card.
Robinhood Platinum Card (invitation-only Visa Infinite, issued by Coastal Community Bank) has a $695 annual fee. It features 99.9% pure platinum plating (~27 g, notably heavy), credit limits up to 5× those of the Robinhood Gold Card, and no foreign transaction fees. Cash back requires a Robinhood brokerage account to redeem (as cash, statement credit, travel, etc.). You generally cannot hold both the Gold and Platinum cards at once.
Earning rates (cash back):
•5% on dining (first $50,000/year, then 1%; based on merchant category codes)
•5% on flights booked through the Robinhood travel portal
•10% on hotels and rental cars booked through the portal
•1% on everything else
Major perks and credits (Robinhood advertises $3,000+ in annual value; many are monthly/semiannual, do not roll over, and have restrictions):
•$250 dining credit at 15,000+ participating restaurants ($20/month, $30 in January)
•Complimentary DashPass + $120 DoorDash promos ($10/month, no minimum order)
•~$700 hotel credits ($250 every 6 months for 2+ night premium hotel stays via portal + $100 on-property credit per stay; includes potential upgrades, breakfast, etc.)
•$300 flight credit ($150 every 6 months; portal or direct airline)
•Unlimited Priority Pass Select (1,400+ lounges)
•Up to $120 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit every 4 years
•Complimentary Robinhood Gold membership (~$60)
•Complimentary Function Health membership ($365; statement credit after purchase; some state restrictions)
•Complimentary Amazon One Medical ($199)
•Complimentary WHOOP Peak membership + hardware (~$239; through end of 2027; requires activation and purchase on whoop.com)
•$250 annual Waymo rides credit (monthly allotments)
•Visa Infinite travel protections (primary rental car CDW, trip delay/cancellation, purchase protection, extended warranty, lost luggage, etc.) and text-based concierge support
•Occasional limited-time offers (e.g., Eight Sleep credits)
Terms, partner lists, and exact credit mechanics are detailed in the official benefits overview and can change. Many credits require app activation or specific booking paths and may exclude the purchase from earning rewards. Check robinhood.com/us/en/creditca… or the app for the current full terms, as invites were rolling out as of mid-to-late 2026.
unless you fly and stay at hotels a lot it’s pretty hard to offset the $695 annual fee
If I need a pocket guide or Grok to understand the benefits, it's not worth the effort. Sticking with X Money.
