On the demand side, lessons from decentralized storage networks suggest that cost is not the primary consideration for most customers. Aspects such as service level agreements, quality of service, and competitive advantages often outweigh cost concerns.
Decentralized compute networks, mainly marketing themselves as cheaper alternatives, might find it challenging to attract users based solely on cost, especially if traditional GPU providers can fulfill supply needs.
Additionally, the advertised cost savings of decentralized compute networks are not significantly lower than those of traditional providers.

I started digging into passkeys in Jan earlier this year, seemed like a seismic shift in how everyday people would interact with apps on the internet.
Now it feels like real momentum is happening with them in both Web2 + Web3
