People said Xiaomi rushed the Fold 18 to beat Apple to the market, yet I haven't heard many complaints since its release.
Apple had 8 years to prepare, yet the Duo still falls short in many areas.

This Is Way Better! 🔥 Instead Of Having The Sidebar Take Up A Quarter Of The Screen, Apple Should’ve Done It This Way.
Hopefully, Apple Adds This Fix In The Next Duo Update Or Saves It For The Duo 2.

I’d say the Galaxy Z Fold8’s crease would be less visible too if it had the same nano-textured layer as the iPhone Duo.

Standby Mode on a foldable hits different. Always-on calendar that actually looks premium.

On the iPhone Duo folded shut, the stuff that used to be at the very top of your iPhone, like the time and the back button, is now on the side.
There's a bottom bar closer to your thumb, and when you open it up it all moves back to the top in the wider layout.
It's a whole new language for developers to adopt.

iOS 27.2 RC - Today that I decided not to update, nobody is saying nothing about what's new. iOS 27.0 RC cut my iPhone 17 Pro Max battery health from 100% - 98% so, I realised that frequent updates (beta testing) affects battery health or not but that RC fear hasn't left me...

Apple isn’t just trying to sell us another screen. It’s trying to change how we interact with our homes.
HomeView combines a 7-inch Liquid Retina display with FaceTime, music, calendars, reminders and smart-home controls.
What stands out to me is the ability to recognize up to six people and personalize the experience for each household member.
It also features True Tone and adaptive brightness, ranging from 500 nits down to 0.3 nits, making it suitable for both bright rooms and bedside use.
At $299 in the US, HomeView is a serious step into the smart-home display market. Availability begins November 13.
Apple CEO John Ternus has been working on the new iPhone Duo since 2011, filing the first patents for it over 15 years ago.
He says other foldables were "cheap and crappy" and wanted to spend time creating a good product instead of rushing something out.
