The two have NOT SPOKEN since September 30.
Cristiano Ronaldo informed Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proença of his decision, but NOT Jorge Jesus.
Cristiano no longer wanted to play under Jorge Jesus and announced his retirement just before the squad announcement to avoid being called up.
Jorge Jesus had planned to select Ronaldo again and was CAUGHT COMPLETELY OFF GUARD by the announcement.

He now presses and defends so well.
Doesn't have the weight or burden of statpadding on his shoulders anymore now that he's surrounded by better players.
Very decent season so far if you ask me.
