Her wigs looked gorgeous, the prices were attractive, and as a professional consumer of fine things, I saved a few videos and even joined her WhatsApp group. Fast forward to last month, my girlfriend mentioned she wanted to buy a wig. See me, the unpaid brand ambassador, quickly recommending my favourite vendor. I was practically doing free marketing. Luckily, she got home and never mentioned the wig again. I didn’t even bother asking if she was still interested.
