The rest of the time Ryuk is this silly goofball, but every now and then he's fricking terrifying, reminding us that he is indeed a death god, and only keeping Light alive for as long as he's entertained. The instant the fun stops, he's dead.

Fizz's homage to Bailey Sarian's Murder, Mystery and Makeup.

Rescheduling Belle AGAIN, because it's Halloween, which naturally entails a Halloween movie. I *will* watch it soon.

There are indie animations out there for all tastes. Don't make sweeping generalisations based only on the ones you've watched.

Back in the day I was a huge American Dad fan, and Patrick Stewart's Deputy Director Avery Bullock my favourite character. The character was essentially: "Let's get Patrick Stewart to say the weirdest and most depraved things in that magnificent voice of his."

Yeah ... as per my other post, this has been rescheduled to the weekend, because my B12 deficiency has decided to make me its bitch.

Sorry, folks - I'm shattered after next to no sleep over the past few days. I'll do the rewatch and reviews at the weekend.

It's not quite the classic we grew up thinking it was, but it's still a stunning feat of animation.
