More is not always better. Sometimes it is just more. Living amidst infinite possibilities always has a dark side: anxiety and a sense of never being, or having, enough. One powerful solution is constraints. They have certainly helped me. thegrowtheq.com/the-power-of…

Too little free time burns us out.
But too *much* free time bores us out.
So, chill this weekend -- but also do things that are active, productive, and meaningful.

Truly saddened at the passing of the brilliant Sean Lock. His brilliance will be sorely missed. The amount of times I’ve almost wet myself laughing at him is countless.
Sleep well Sean.
I genuinely couldn’t stop laughing for days at this.

We’re appalled that one of the NHS Million team - an intensive care doctor - has been driven off Twitter by hate and abuse.
Please follow and RT if you’re right behind Sammy and us, so together we can drown out the voices of those who seek to harm us all.

A fascinating glimpse in elite psychology in the High Jump.
After every jump, McDermott comes back and writes in her notebook.
What's she writing? She ranks herself in different aspects of the jump (i.e. run-up, take-off).
Then chooses one area to focus on for the next jump

Karsten Warholm's 400m hurdles world record (45.94 seconds) would have won him gold at this year's British Championships... over the flat 400m.

This is the essence of what sport is all about: Competition that lifts one another up. Too often we see competition as a zero-sum game, a clear winner and loser is a must.
But what occurred in the high jump points to something far greater.
