Youāve done a great service to us lay people around the world in showing us in a very comprehensible way exactly how @elonmusk thinks in terms of engineering and manufacturing and how that translates to his teams at @Tesla , and no doubt @SpaceX and @SpaceXSI , in making extremely useful products that are extraordinarily beneficial to both the users and to humanity indirectly.
It is no wonder that Elon is so far ahead of any of his competitors, because heās UNIQUE, as we have explained in our post yesterday.
It takes someone like Monro, who tear things apart to see how they are made, to show the genius of Elon and his companies from the outside and thus validate the sheer magnitude of their achievements.
Thank you for making this amazing view possible for people who have an intense interest, and especially for those of us who donāt have expertise necessary to accomplish the work but nevertheless have the ability to appreciate its marvel and importance.
Ted and Francoise
We particularly appreciate Elon and his companies because at 84 we use his lifesaving and life-enhancing technology every day in our Cyberbeast equipped with Starlink and GrokAI, that weāll trade-in every year for its iterative improvement overseen by @wmorrill3 !

Hereās what we photographed in Yellowstone this morningā¦

The number one question I get asked about Cybertruck other than range is āhow does it do in the snow?ā Going in to my third Yellowstone winter with it, I donāt know that anything else handles better in the snow.
Traction control is so reactive and slips are corrected immediately. My previous 4Runner was terrible at starting from a stop. Even with snow tires in 4WD it would spin tires and fishtail.
Charging overnight and preconditioning in the morning is amazing. Snow and ice slides off easily, so you never need to scrape sheets of ice. Cabin heat is near instant throughout the day, even after sitting for a while. Wiper and mirror heaters work great.
Tires matter more than anything else, and Iāve been using the Blizzak LT for a third season now. They donāt wear any faster than any other vehicle Iāve had them on.
Since I donāt have a wrap now, thereās no worry about scratching paint with the snow brush, which is something Iāve done.

About 50% of what runs the car is packed into one section up front, keeping low voltage wiring short and efficient š
The drive inverter is serviceable from the top. No need to lift the car to service an issue, just pull the self-contained thermal system and washer fluid tank out and itās right there, no tearing it out from underneath š§

I'll be heading over to collab with @itskyleconner again to try to break FSD!
Tell us what scenarios/objects/etc that you want us to use to push FSD to the limit!

I cut every FSD moment from Teslaās Q3 earnings call into one 10-minute video. If you donāt feel like listening š
Elon: FSD is now the #1 driver of Tesla demand
75%+ of North American deliveries signed up for paid FSD at delivery, even though every new car comes with a free month
FSD is approved in many European countries, and Elon would be surprised if EU-wide approval takes past Q1
Unsupervised FSD comes to customer cars with V15. The first customer cars could join the robotaxi network around Q2 2027
Tesla is building its own AI maps and navigation (speed limits, parking, routing), which you can talk to and which learns your preferences. It starts rolling out in V15
Ashok on competitors: getting to a cool demo is easy, but the long tail is so hard that āanyone with their sane mind should not attempt to solve this problemā
An analyst estimates FSD is approaching $1B in annual recurring revenue, and Teslaās CFO says that math is right
SomePeopleCallMeTheSpaceCowboy retweeted
Tesla said today that theyāre rebuilding the entire in-vehicle navigation system from the ground up with AI. Itās going to have voice integration, and will learn your personalized preferences:
Ashok: āItās only right that we shouldnāt be depending on external peopleās maps. So we are building our own maps, but not like the same way as traditional maps.
We are building an entire new architecture with essentially AI-based mapping and navigation. Itās going to be super awesome. Itās going to be integrated with voice. You can talk to it and ask for different routes. Itās going to learn your personalized preferences, plus also the fleet preferences. The collective intelligence of all the cars are going to flow into making the maps and navigation.
Youāll see the start and end of trips already use this technology pretty soon as part of the V15 release. Over the next several months, itās just going to take over all of the navigation functions, parking, destination handling. Weāll know you better than you know yourself in some regard for the driving tasks. Itāll handle it fully.ā
Canāt wait for V15. Itās going to include so many new features.
Talarico hates Texas
Early voting starts today in Texas.
James Talarico, in his own words:
On police: āIt's always rich to me that defund the police is considered off limits...ā
On guns: Assault weapons ban? āAbsolutely.ā
On ICE: āTear down this secret police force.ā
On prison: āPrison is violence.ā
āPeople don't belong in cages.ā
Send this to a Texas voter.
Since I posted about using Grok Bot to buy things with my credit card, so many people have been asking whether itās actually safe
Whatās actually strange to me is that for decades, people have been handing their credit cards to complete strangers at restaurants. Someone takes your card, walks away with it, swipes it through a machine, processes your payment, and brings it back
And most people donāt even think twice about it
We live in a digital world where software already handles enormous amounts of financial transactions every single day
Tbh these days is actually more safer to let AI/SI do the shopping for you then you doing the shopping for you
with AI/SI agents, you can sandbox them, give them limited permissions, and have them ask for your approval before making important decisionsā¦. These days the latest models are really good at understanding the real world and theyāre extremely cautious about the things that they do for you
From what Iāve personally experienced with Grok Bot, itās actually extraordinary how cautious it is when handling these tasks
If something is expensive or really needs your attention, it simply pauses for a moment and asks you what you want to do. It gives you a few simple options, you choose what you want, and the final decision is still yours where you have to make
And all of this happens without you having to go through the entire hassle of shopping yourself
Iāve personally watched how carefully Grok Bot handles these things, and Iām really impressed by it
Even Elon said that if Grok Bot makes a mistake with your purchase, theyāll make you whole
That tells you how much confidence the team has in what they have builtā¦. and it is really amazing. I just run out of limits every single week because Iāve been using it so much
The interesting part is
Grok Bot actually does a better job shopping than you in many situations
Think about how often you open shopping website to buy something, see some random banner or attractive advertisement, and suddenly youāre looking at three other things you never even needed š
This happens all the time with online shopping
These websites are absolutely filled with advertisements designed to grab your attention and get you to buy more things
But Grok Bot can actually research what you need, compare products, find better deals, and save you a lot of money instead of getting you distracted in that entire mess of advertising
And the amount of time it saves is actually just ridiculous
You donāt have to spend hours browsing different websites, comparing prices, going through endless product listings, filling out forms, and handling every single step of the purchase
You just tell your Grok Bot what you want, and it handles so much of the work for you. And whenever something actually needs your attention, it simply asks
It gets so much easier, and once you start using these Grok Bot for everyday tasks, you really begin to understand how incredibly useful it really is

Teslaās Roadster event was a monumental leap of faith, essentially a slap in the face to the entire automotive industry, showcasing their superiority and credibility. It was a resounding success, and the high-risk, high-reward approach will undoubtedly pay dividends for Teslaās talent recruitment and visibility. The focus isnāt on selling the product; itās on highlighting the cutting-edge technology that powers the brand.
Let me fix that tweet for you:
1. The people rioting in Paris are criminals who are committing crimes.
2. Destroying hard-working peopleās businesses is evil and not a valid form of protest.
From the high schools of France to the streets of Madrid to the universities of Tirana, young people are telling their governments the same thing: in an age of massive wealth inequality, they want a future they can believe in.
In France, students and teachers are asking for safe schools, enough teachers and smaller classes.
In Spain, for affordable rent and housing.
In Albania, for good jobs and an end to corruption.
@JDVance says this is what happens when a nation lets in too many immigrants from the global south.
He is not just morally wrong, but misreading the moment.
The is what happens when nations let wealth and power accumulate in the hands of a few.
This is what happens when young people lose hope in their future.
In America, let us listen to our young.
We need an economic and political transformation.
