J'ai vu une Tesla décoller. Et j'ai entendu beaucoup de bêtises.
« Ça ne sert à rien. » « Gadget de milliardaire. » « Qui a besoin d'une voiture qui vole ? »
Personne. Et c'est exactement pour ça que c'est important.
En 1978, Brabham a aligné en Formule 1 une voiture équipée d'un ventilateur géant à l'arrière. Il aspirait l'air sous le châssis et plaquait la voiture au sol. Elle a gagné sa première course avec une avance insolente. Elle a été interdite immédiatement.
Quarante-huit ans plus tard, on y revient. Un système de succion qui colle la voiture à la route et lui permet de passer sous la seconde au 0 à 100.
Personne n'a « besoin » de faire le 0 à 100 en moins d'une seconde. Comme personne n'a besoin d'une Formule 1. Et pourtant : les freins carbone de votre berline, l'hybridation de votre moteur, l'aérodynamique de votre SUV, les palettes au volant — tout ça vient de voitures de course que personne n'utilisera jamais pour aller au travail.
La Formule 1 ne sert à rien. Pourtant elle sert à tout.
En 1973, quand la France a lancé Ariane, l'Europe sortait de onze échecs consécutifs du programme Europa. La presse parlait d'argent jeté dans l'espace. Vingt ans plus tard, Ariane détenait la moitié du marché mondial des lancements commerciaux, et chaque satellite de télévision, de météo ou de GPS que vous utilisez a bénéficié de cette obstination.
Le progrès a toujours la même tête au début : un truc inutile, cher, ridicule, construit par des gens qu'on prend pour des fous.
Ce que j'ai vu à Dallas, ce n'est pas une voiture volante. C'est un châssis, une gestion de l'énergie et une maîtrise des flux d'air que l'industrie automobile mettra dix ans à digérer.
Les applications viendront : sécurité, freinage, stabilité, consommation. Elles finiront dans des voitures ordinaires conduites par des gens qui expliqueront, en 2036, que tout ça était évident.
La question n'est jamais « à quoi ça sert ».
La question est : qui ose encore construire des choses qui ne servent à rien ?
Il y a cinquante ans, c'était nous. La fusée, le TGV, le Concorde, le Minitel.
L'Europe construisait des choses absurdes et magnifiques.
Aujourd'hui, on commente depuis le siège arrière car nous sommes hors course.

Ayer por la mañana recibí una llamada de 16 minutos, de un asesor / vocal del Ministerio de Industria español. @minturgob.
Publico, ya que esta llamada es lo más claro y directo que he recibido desde hace meses y no suposiciones o rumores cercanos al ministerio, a redes, o a Tesla.
Seguramente no es lo que esperáis leer, ya que no es algo que vaya a ocurrir mañana, pero al menos creo que aportará un calendario, una actitud positiva Europea y el tono de la conversación, que fue muy esperanzador y dialogante.
Puntos clave:
España no se descuelga de la votación común, no habrá reconocimiento unilateral del 39.
Estamos alineados con Francia, Italia, y Alemania, este último es quien más impedimentos ha puesto.
En la reunión del día 6 hubo un intenso intercambio de opinión, la RDW y otros países con FSD aprobado aportaron puntos a mejorar, velocidad entre ellos, como principal preocupación.
La RDW aunque propulsora de la excepción no se ha quedado quieta, siendo a la vez promotora y aportadora de sugerencias en base a la experiencia acumulada.
Cambio de la nomenclatura solicitado a Tesla, que precisamente ayer por la tarde se realizó ✅
Principal escollo, el cómo maneja el coche las velocidades, ahí Tesla debe adaptar el sistema, al menos al principio.
Posición Franco / Española / Italiana muy a favor, posición Alemana a favor pero con esas condiciones ahora ya comunes.
Me citó varias veces el término “garantista” respecto a la posición Europea.
Es posible que algún pequeño país de un paso independiente mientras.
Muy importante para mí que subrayase que España quiere estar al día en innovación, a favor de nuevas tecnologías para hacer más seguras nuestras vías, prueba es que la DGT y Tesla con 30 vehículos han realizado miles de km de test en España, me ofrecí a aportar mi / nuestra experiencia como usuarios, contándole alguna anécdota sobre cómo un simple EAP me ha evitado más de un susto, recalqué que es un sistema que aprende y que como tal debe ser entendido.
También subrayó el hecho de que aunque falten 2 meses, descolgarse ahora no tendria sentido en este entorno de colaboración, para mí es un síntoma de que todo va muy bien, una doble lectura me dice que por parte de España no hay problema.
Pero sobretodo la voluntad de Tesla de adaptar el sistema a los requerimientos Europeos, ayer ya dieron el primer paso con el “TAD basico”, lease FSD supervisado.
Importante también que tengo su contacto personal y me autoriza a mantener un diálogo de consulta en el futuro inmediato.
Mis impresiones?
Diciembre es el mes, Tesla se esta adaptando y el cambio a TAD lo demuestra.
Tras una casi segura votación positiva, habrá que ver los tiempos de adopción en cada región…

FSD NEWS 🇪🇺 Following talks with German regulators, Tesla has offered to drop the "Full Self-Driving" (FSD) label in Europe and rename the software "Tesla Assisted Driving" (TAD) 🔥
The concession directly tackles a major regulatory sticking point: European officials argue that calling it "FSD" is misleading.
Because the system functions strictly as a driver-assist tool rather than a fully autonomous platform, the driver remains 100% legally responsible behind the wheel and must stay alert at all times.
German Transport Minister Steffen Bilger confirmed that Berlin and Tesla reached common ground back in September after hashing out key technical and liability details. Bilger announced he will now actively champion swift, EU-wide approval so drivers across the continent can finally get access.
The negotiations also yielded an interesting compromise: the German Ministry and Tesla agreed that the system can slightly exceed posted speed limits, by up to 10%, to keep traffic flowing naturally.
Ditching the controversial "FSD" name in favor of "Tesla Assisted Driving" shows Tesla is ready to play ball with European regulators to finally secure a green light.

There's an entirely new auto market being opened up by FSD.
My wife and I moved into a retirement community last year, and we were joined by my brother and his wife. Our homes are almost next door to each other. Being longtime Tesla owners, we joined the EV group that meets once a month and shares information. I offered to talk about my experience with FSD, and they were excited to hear about it. So I prepared some slides and videos, freely purloined from the great material on X.
The results were pretty astounding. The average monthly meetup usually had, perhaps, a couple of dozen people. Instead, the meeting notice talking about FSD drew a packed house of perhaps a hundred people, and we had to turn people away as the room was full.
Well, that was last quarter's meeting. This quarter's meeting was held last week, to a significantly expanded group. And what did we hear? We heard about a couple that had stopped driving, their car sitting parked because they felt too unsure of themselves to drive. After my presentation, they traded in their vehicle for a Tesla with FSD, and now they are at about 97.5% on FSD and feel that they have been liberated. When I asked "why only 97.5%," they explained that the car lost its way in their underground parking garage (they live in the apartment section of the community). I explained that they could drop a pin on their actual parking spot rather than the address, and that may solve their problem.
What struck me even more than the people who bought new Teslas after the presentation was how many seniors talked about their own FSD experience, and how many of them were achieving mid- to high-90% FSD driving. There was uniform enthusiasm for the product and for what it meant for them in their senior years.
That matters in what is rapidly becoming an aging population.

I'm amazed people will skip an EV because they take a couple of long trips a year, then sit in Costco gas lines every week to save a buck, when they could just charge at home.
Add the time wasted on emissions inspections, oil changes, and the rest.
EVs don't have a range problem. People have a mindset problem. You almost never go from empty to full. You grab what you need and go. It's faster than most people think.

Mám za sebou prvních cca 300 km testování Tesla samořízení v ČR. Centrum Prahy, dálnice, okolí.
Mých prvních TOP 20 dojmů:
1. Je to wow. Mnohem lepší, než sem čekal. A to mám nakoukaný videa z Ameriky. Za 5 minut sedíte jak v taxíku. Ta rychlost "zvyknutí" je neuvěřitelná.
2. FSD umí jezdit rychle. A někdy i nad rychlostním limitem. Pořád je to bezpečná jízda, žádný manévry na Turka. Ale prostě to umí přetáhnout.
3. Překročení rychlosti se dá ručně štelovat nebo úplně vypnout. Pak se drží 100% správné rychlosti. Ale zase vás vytroubí každý Bolt v centru na třicítce.
4. Na radar sama nezpomalí. Přestože to má v mapách. Prej umělá inteligence, ale pokutu dostanu já, že.
5. Neumí odbočit doprava na zelenou doplňkovou šipku.
6. Uzavírky v centru jsou problém. Žluté čáry, blbé značení, změny směrů... je z toho evidentně nervózní a já s ní. Někdy je to značení naprosto kokotský. V jednom úseku, kde bojovala, jel za námi lidský řidič a bojoval úplně stejně, možná hůř.
7. Dálnice naopak fungují na 100 %. Pouští auta v připojováku, a to s předstihem. Okamžitě reaguje na kamiony, když se začnou předjíždět. Řadí se sama do pravého. Umí si zrychlit, zpomalit podle potřeby. Dálnice je pocitově vyřešená.
8. Neumí BUS pruhy spolehlivě. Chová se, jako by tušila, že je něco špatně, ale nic s tím neudělá. Jako děcko, co ví, že něco provedlo, ale bojí se to říct.
9. Reakce na chodce neuvěřitelně dobrá. Někdy až přehnaná. Boreček stojí na červené na přechodu, zvedne oči od mobilu a přešlápne – Tesla okamžitě jemně přibrzdí "kdyby náhodou". To je v rámci bezpečnosti super.
10. Zvládá krásně tramvaje, dává přednost, hlídá si je. Ostrůvky tramvajové ok. Jednou si ho všimla na poslední chvíli a trošku s tím cukla. Ale nic zásadního.
11. Při změně pruhů v malé rychlosti někdy "plave" zleva doprava a cuká rychle volantem. Extrémně nepříjemné. Vypadá to jako bug. Možná je to jen u mě. Dejte prosím kdyžtak vědět.
12. Umí si krásně objet překážku. Delivery dodávka blokuje cestu, počká si, blinkr, objede. Bez problémů.
13. Odbočovací pruhy jsou trošku divný v centru. A to sem jel večer a nebyla doprava. Zítra zkusím ve špičce. Ale nedivím se. Na některých křižovatkách v Praze musíte řazení plánovat s předstihem. Mnohem dříve, než jde vidět značení. Kdo tam jede poprvé, diví se a dělá zmatky na poslední chvíli. Tesla tam vždy jede jako poprvé.
14. Ale Anděl dala bez ztráty hvězdičky. Skoro. Křižovatku Ostrovského–Vltavská projela pochopitelně jako: levý blinkr – pravý blinkr. No, jak Brňák v Praze na návštěvě.
15. Reakce na retardéry trošku retardovaná. Chtělo by to více zpomalit. A najíždět jemněji. Mám rád svoje tlumiče.
16. Zvládá naprosto s přehledem úzké uličky a malé prostory. Jakože fakt jede sebevědomě na centimetry jak starej autobusák.
17. Na parkovišti před obchoďákem umí přijet k bráně, počkat na lístek a jet, až se brána otevře. Jen lístek musíte vzít vy.
18. Vnitřní kamera vás buzeruje, a to dost. Stačí vzít do ruky mobil na červené a okamžitě na vás řve. Musíte koukat před sebe. Ne ven, ne na displej, ne na spolujezdce. Před sebe.
19. Nemusíte mít ruce na volantu. Můžete mít volně položené v klíně, na opěradle nebo mít překřížené. Pokud se ale začnete protahovat, dávat ruce nad hlavu, hned jí to vadí.
20. Verze v EU má některé vychytávky navíc. Třeba povinnost oznamování o změně pruhu s předstihem. Což je naprosto idiotský, protože místo na cestu čumíte na text na displeji. Bere to pozornost. A ještě je to nespolehlivé, protože překvápko: doprava je dynamická a to, že auto chtělo změnit pruh před 5 sekundama, neznamená, že ho změní teď. Tak jen doufám, že to úředníci nebudou kurvit dalšíma podobnýma vylepšeníma.
Jinak je to super. Sem z toho nadšenej. Sci-fi technologie totálně. Budu testovat dál. V pátek si řekneme v Schengenu v TECHGUYS další detaily.
