On issues of Gen Elwelu, we are aware of it. However, I would like the public to categorically distinguish PLU from the Army.
Gen Elwelu is in the hands of the UPDF- an institution constitutionally mandated to protect citizens and defend our territories. This has nothing to do with PLU.
Rather than victimising PLU, let us allow the military procedures to take its course because the Army has a better and more professional sense of judgment on matters of national security.
So, let’s stay calm and allow the UPDF to conclude its due diligence, and not politicise or tribalise the matter.

Mr. @kasujja, Executive Director - Uganda Media Centre, has urged politicians to stop politicising former Deputy Chief of Defence Forces Peter Elwelu’s case, stressing that it is a national security matter best handled by the military, which is competent to manage such affairs.
Estranged literally means When two people who used to be close are now separated, distant, and no longer talking or loving each other.
It is like a husband and wife, or family, or friends, who have become strangers to each other.

@OfwonoOpondo is doing exactly what he is mandated to do by the 1995 Constitution of Uganda: ensuring that the military is kept in check. That includes members of the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces, among them Cabbage Muhoozi. Article 208 of the 1995 Constitution makes the UPDF subordinate to civilian authority. This means its excesses must be checked by civilian authorities.
Ofwono Opondo is a Member of Parliament, so what he is doing is not unusual, and it is not breaking the law. There is no reason for him to be executed. Yet the very things he is speaking against are exactly what the CDF is doing: on his X account, Muhoozi has threatened that Ofwono will be executed and that his days are numbered.
Ofwono must be protected so that more people on the floor of Parliament can do what they are supposed to do, which is to speak up about injustices and excesses. So many people have been silent. Civilian authorities have failed to arrest Muhoozi or hold him accountable for his actions. Now that someone is finally speaking up, he wants to silence him.

Why is Muhoozi against Iteso? Muhoozi see Iteso as a threat and great mobilizers which may limit his progress. So his plan is to remove the powerful from the power and subdue them. He is also advised that Iteso are very brave and he must be careful with power.
