🚨MERCH DROP🚨
C.J. Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr. Step Brothers tee is live (🔗👇)
Did we just become best friends?
Both DeMeco Ryans and C.J. Stroud praised Kayshon Boutte today.
DeMeco Ryans:
“Kayshon has showed up tremendously, made some really important plays for us.”
“Can we get him one now in the middle of the field where he can keep running?”
C.J. Stroud:
“He’s been huge. Made some big-time catches. Really, he’s honestly been open a lot. We gotta find more ways to get him touches, and that’s really my job.”
“I gotta do a better job of getting him the ball and making sure that his presence is felt from the other side of the ball.”
The Texans starting 0-4 and their defense struggling early might end up being a blessing in disguise.
Stroud’s rookie year, the defense wasn’t nearly as good, forcing them to lean more on his passing ability. As the defense improved in 2024 and 2025, the offense became increasingly conservative.
There are obviously other factors, but I think the defense’s success has played a significant role in their offensive philosophy.
Now they’re being forced to lean on CJ again, and it’s almost like they’re rediscovering what they’ve had at QB all along.
They’ve had the answer. They just got away from it.
C.J. Stroud on Marvin Harrison Jr. heading into his second game with the Texans:
“He’s always been a hard worker. He’s always in here trying to learn and asking different people different aspects of the offense.”
Stroud says he hopes to get Harrison more touches and opportunities to make plays, adding, “Man, he looked great today at practice.”
On helping MHJ get acclimated to the offense, Stroud says Harrison is smart enough that he doesn’t need much hand holding, but they regularly communicate through calls and texts whenever he has questions.
Stroud also praised what Harrison showed against Jacksonville, even when he wasn’t targeted:
“He made a lot of plays, and even the times he didn’t get the ball in the game, creating separation, using sauce on his routes, and looked like he’s having fun.”
Stroud says Harrison has done a really good job since arriving in Houston.

Will Anderson Jr. on C.J. Stroud earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week and the impact he’s having on the Texans:
“He deserves it. You talk about a guy who’s been consistent all year. Leading the NFL in yards, leading this team to where we need to be at. He’s playing outstanding, but it starts with his preparation. It starts with his process.”
Anderson says it’s no surprise to see Stroud making big plays and taking over games because of the work he puts in every day.
“He’s a top quarterback in this league.”
He also praised the offensive line for keeping Stroud clean against Jacksonville and said he’s especially happy for CJ knowing everything he’s endured to reach this point.
“To continue to see his light shine and to see him bring this team together and go out and make those big plays has been great.”

🚨 NFL FRAUD METER - Week 6 🏈
The 6-0 49ers aren't frauds
The 5-0 Vikings are...
Good design to beat / delay the flat defender on the out route vs cov 3 here with the stack alignments.
Don't know why Reed takes his eyes inside initially. Should be ready to buzz to the flats.
Between this and the bad camera angle, I’m declaring that C.J. Stroud’s lone interception didn’t count.
Still zero INTs on the year.
Saw the clip where Travis Hunter explains how he “fake stumbles” when undercutting a route to trick QBs into throwing the ball - he says he intentionally squats low and leans over looking off center to make it seem like he tripped or got caught slipping on a route.
Went back and realize he did it to CJ Stroud on the EndZone interception and Stroud realizes what happened immediately.
Calen Bullock to Henry To’oTo’o after his 3rd down stop on the first drive vs Jacksonville:
“We f**king back Henry. We f***ing back. Let’s go. Cmon man!”
Wishing him the best. Appears Kenneth Murray Jr. took his spot.
#Jaguars are signing former #Texans linebacker Jamal Hill to their practice squad now that he has cleared waivers, per a league source. Hill, a former sixth-round pick and converted safety from Oregon @oregonfootball , has run the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds. He has contributed primarily on special teams.
.@T_Armstead72 and Texans OT Trent Brown on @thesetshow_ discussing CJ Stroud and interactions with Texans fans.
Armstead revisited his comments on CBS earlier this season about wanting to see Stroud put the team on his back and the reaction he received:
“Texans fans took issue with that and was very loud about it. Some of them even talked a little crazy stuff that I know they’ll never say in real life, but that’s cool.”
He later clarified:
“When I said what I said on CBS, I want to see more from him. That’s all I said. And them folks act like I said he was trash, he need to be replaced.”
Brown responded:
“Is crazy they’d take offense to you saying it, but they say it every day.”
Brown added:
“Honestly, I ain’t been on a team that has real solid fans. So, it is what it is.”
Brown also discussed how fantasy football and betting can influence some fans interactions with players, noting that players have lives outside of football. He jokingly alluded to potentially having to get physical with someone over the way they approach him.
