Most people don't need more advice. They need one good question and an hour where nobody interrupts them. What's a question that changed a decision for you?

If money really stops being the measure of value, the best question anyone ever asked me becomes everyone's problem: What would you value when all goods are free? Took me years to answer it honestly.
I was talking with friends about this When we're reaching post-AGI where money becomes useless and almost everything free Money won't be a thing we compete on anymore I already have group chats where people are competing for how low their RHR is or how high their VO2Max Or of course how heavy their lifts are Status will be measured very differently in the future I think

Literally brings a tear to my eyes. We are living in the age of miracles.
God bless you Elon. These are Jesus-level miracles. Super inspiring video from Neuralink

App development with @Grok build is still quite annoying. Having to download, install and test the app on my phone takes a lot of time. This should be doable within Grok.

Best question anyone ever asked me: "What would you do if you wouldn't have to worry about money?" Took me years to answer it honestly. Because I came up with things that can only be accomplished with a lot of money (mars factory, cyber limbs, living in a castle...) It only clicked when I broke it down to who I would need to become for that to happen. What's the question that changed how you work?

Isn't the best founder a paying customer? Sounds more reasonable to chase them.
Funding rounds aren't milestones. It shouldn't be your goal to raise a series A. It should be your goal not to need to.

SaaS-trained investors ask "how fast can this scale?" Hard tech needs "what has to be true for this to work at all?" Different question, different people. Founders: what was the first question your best investor asked you?
Construct Capital's @daynagrayson on raising a fund for heavy industries in 2020, at a time when everyone was hyper-focused on software investing. “The venture world was one that was honed and trained on SaaS." "Everyone knew what a magic number should look like, what the Rule of 40 is and when it should be attained.” “We had a fundamental belief that when venture reaches a point where associates take your deck and plug and chug the numbers and then give you an answer, it might not be venture anymore.” With @itsmoislam at the @NYSE

“The most interesting thing is that the toothless, provincial Russian masses are absolutely convinced that they’re wanted everywhere and that people dream of Russkiy Mir coming to their countries.” — Ukrainian political analyst Borys Tizengauzen explains Russkiy Mir in simple terms that even vatniks can’t argue against. 📹 youtube.com/@tizengauzen?si=…

Took me over a month to finally see the German-Polish border like this. Everyone said that's long. What's the longest you've worked on one thing before anyone cared?

Engineer here. A CAD file tells you what was built, not why, and not what broke first. When I build that temperature sensor that was to be send into a 1600°C oven, I had actually all the explanations in hand-drawing. The CAD files where stupid and made just to be send to the suppliers. What's the part of design that never ends up in your file?
We have $20M to spend next month on CAD - Architecture and interior design firms - Civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and MEP engineering firms - Manufacturing and industrial equipment makers - Industrial and product design studios - Aerospace and automotive engineering services - Electronics and PCB design firms - Medical device design firms - Naval architecture and marine engineering - etc. If they have CAD, we want them bring them all and i'll get you paid - Mike

To build a product you had to take something that exists and... Make it faster Remove middlemen Make it cheaper Expand the audience And now: Make it American?
Something I've been saying for a while, you don't have a sovereign industrial base if all the machines and robots inside it are imported. Yesterday the White House made it official. America "relies on foreign imports for most types of robotics and industrial machinery," and that's now a national security threat. This is the first critical step toward bringing robot and machine tool manufacturing back to the US. The US invented these tools. The first industrial robot, Unimate, went to work at a GM plant in New Jersey in 1961. CNC machining came out of MIT. Then we stopped building them and outsourced it all. Today none of the biggest industrial robot makers is American, and Korea runs 4x our robot density and besides Fanuc, most industrial robot OEMs have outsourced critical components to China. @AMRwelding is building industrial robot arms designed and built in the US, on our own opensource controller. Reindustrialization runs on robots. They should be built here too.

You want to know how Dubai created one of the most vibrant economies in the world … in a desert??? They applied English law … with low taxes. At any time in the future the UK can change policy and the country will boom. It’s a policy choice - smaller government and lower taxes will lead to a prosperous nation. Eventually the penny will drop.

Thanks UK for 13+ billion for Ukraine! This investment will easily be made back once Russia isn't a threat to all free countries anymore, and NATO can be operated on a lower budget.

With Copy link giving 20x and Reply, quote, share via DM 5x boost, while a like is a measly 0.5x: It's really 400x better to post something shareable? What can this be for you? (Please copy, DM and like this)
Deep dive into the current state of the 𝕏 algorithm. Worth bookmarking if you create content on 𝕏: How your posts get found now: • Followers see you through "Thunder," which holds recent posts from accounts they follow • Non-followers find you through "Phoenix" (an AI retrieval model) and "SimClusters" (interest clusters) • There's also a shared list of popular recent posts that gets mixed in • Everything gets ranked together by the same model How your post gets scored: • An AI model predicts the chance each viewer will take each action on your post • Each action has a "weight" to propose a score, which pushes your post • Copy link: 20x • Reply, quote, share via DM: 5x • Follow: 4x • Share: 2x • Repost: 1x • Like: 0.5x • Reports, mutes, blocks, and "not interested" are HEAVILY negative. One report equals 350 likes... What gets filtered out: • Posts older than 48 hours • Posts the viewer already saw • Replies and reposts from accounts they don't follow • Muted keywords, blocked and muted accounts • Extra branches of the same conversation • Anything flagged by visibility filtering (spam, safety labels, etc.) What's new (October update): • A "user debias" model is being wired in, adjusting for how generous each viewer is with engagement (users who are picky with their engagement get heavier weights) • Search improvements • The model now knows whether a post has video or an image My advice: • Focus on creating content that is bookmarkable, shareable, and worth commenting on • Focus on original, high-value content • Spread your posts • Your first ~2 hours of a post are everything • Avoid negativity so you don't collect reports, blocks, etc. • Create multiple formats (video, article, etc.) Bookmark this so you don't lose it.

I mostly use Grok for accountability and scheduling. Seems like everyone picked a different tool for a different job without noticing. Which one do you open for what?
people don't realize how different OpenAI and Anthropic's users are. only 4.6% of ChatGPT chats are about coding. on Claude, it's 35%. that's an insane 7x gap.
