I just tweeted about the show to a television critic and came upon this by accident. I'll take it as a "hello" from Johnny. I miss him so much.

Patrick Stewart changed genre acting forever with Captain Picard in "Star Trek" and Charles Xavier in "X-Men." ""'Star Trek' was popular before 'The Next Generation' debuted, but it was not considered high art by any means. Stewart changed that. He brought years of experience from the Royal Shakespeare Company to the role of Captain Picard, turning the character into a universally recognized noble leader," writes Variety's @JoeOtterson. "And many people point to stars like Robert Downey Jr. for shifting the perception around superhero movies, but Stewart was breaking new ground in that way as Charles Xavier more than two decades before the MCU came into existence." Lord of Life, You have given us the gift of water, source of fruitfulness, freshness, and hope. It quenches thirst, nourishes the earth, and heals wounds. We see with pain so many brothers and sisters who lack clean water, who walk for miles to find it, who become ill due to its scarcity. Forgive us for turning it into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders, meant for all your children. Let’s #PrayTogether at popesprayer.va/praywiththepo…

I think that when we’re looking at fairy tales and epics and mythologies, rather than dismissing mentions of textiles or looms as plot devices and symbology, we should instead consider there are actual, real world connections which enhance the story if you understand them.

Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas

‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ and ‘Skeleton Crew’ have the same vibe as those short Star Wars EU young adult novels from the 90s. 'Galaxy of Fear' and 'Zorba the Hutt's Revenge' come to mind.

@Jon_Favreau Thank you for “The Mandalorian and Grogu.” A 12 year-old when Star Wars came out, I was “too old” for the toys but got to play with them babysitting kids who owned them. The Dejarik scene was amazing! Thanks also to Ludwig Göransson for “The Third Man” version of 1/2

of the theme at the end of the movie. I’m a huge fan of all versions of Star Wars, and I really love how you honored so many shows and movies through this film and made it beautifully original at the same time. This is the way.

Graham Hamilton, Carey Jones, Sophie Thatcher, Jordan Bolger, Lars Mikkelsen, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Genevieve O’Reilly, Nelson Lee, Anthony Daniels, Hayden Christensen. You named many of the actors, but not all consistently. Just want to get their needs into the ether.

Instead of worrying that humanities degrees don’t prepare students for jobs in today’s world [product managers finance consultants startups], we should worry that we’ve created a world with such little value for literature, art, philosophy—anything that expresses the human soul
