Saying this might cost me followers, but I can’t stay quiet: pirating books is wrong.
Writers deserve to be paid for their work.
Writing is not just words on a page. Our books are the culmination of years of learning, refining, and pouring ourselves into the craft. When books are pirated, it doesn’t just hurt our income, it also hurts sales in bookstores, which directly impact whether publishers will take chances on our future work.
There are countless free books out there—through libraries, promotions, and authors who choose to give their stories away. But if an author hasn’t offered their book for free, then taking it anyway is theft, plain and simple.
Please respect the value of our labour.
Support writers. Don’t pirate.
