Biblical scholars often treat genre as an objective feature of a text (what it "is") and use it to determine "proper" interp. But genre is subjective, a result of interp. Not recognizing that will distort, not illuminate texts.

It's now signed and official! My 1st book will be published by @Baylor_Press. I argue for an ancient Jewish tradition of natural law. Some Jewish texts, like Romans, blend Adam's wisdom & Israel's law to make arguments about moral knowledge, moral ability, and God's justice
