Good morning! It is day 2 off #TheUltimateRace 2024 with 18 hours done and dusted in the saddle. 13 riders have made it to the finish line, still a long way to go for the rest of the warriors!

Drikus Coetzee, the champion of 2022, is returning to #TheUltimateRace to steal back his title. With the current course record behind his name, the question is whether he can surpass his own time and set another record, or if he will face challenges from Mother Nature's elements.

Not sure what to pack in your checkpoint boxes? The dimensions are 33cm x 33cm x 20cm. Recommended items are spare batteries for your lights, a tire repair kit and spare tubes, dry clothes in case of bad weather, personal medication, and preferred food supplements. Happy packing!

#TheUltimateRace is a full-service experience! Meals you can look forward to while conquering the beast: Checkpoint 1 - Pea or Butternut soup. Checkpoint 2 - Bolognese or vegetarian pasta, hotdogs and braai wors. Checkpoint 3 - Sosaties, braai wors, and fresh roosterkoek.
