21 years later and this is still excellent use of color theory, legibility, layout and call to actions. Sadly, it would break on mobile, and probably wouldn't pass ADA contrast standards. Boring design is now systematically encouraged, if not outright enforced.

I'd love a deadlock mechanical turk NPC only brought up in a little small bits of dialogue. A few people try bringing him up to Solomon and it weirdly hits a nerve every time. He has beef with what he believes to be a cheating robot, taking away the true fun of the game.
