Hey folks! Posts by @Mikmag1776 keep popping up in my feed. Heโ€™s a guy whose entire online identity is to say stupid things to and Catholics and get them all to respond. Iโ€™m gonna block him now. Iโ€™ll encourage you to ignore him or do the same.

The thing I dislike most about many Protestant is them trying their "get out of jail for free card"... Any criticism will be "dismissed" with something like: "You are against the Bible" "You don't know scripture" "You are XYZ against Gods word" "You believe not what the bible says" And saying this empty phrase automatically makes them assume they have the high ground. When the criticism is never about attacking SCRIPTURE - but against their claims about scripture. Much more - that often seem random, contradictive, arbitrary or culture/family influenced - rather than deeper thought about & verified by credible standards

Friends, Please join us in praying for David. Saint Gemma Galgani, we humbly implore your intercession on behalf of David by and through the Holy Name and Precious Blood of Our Lord. Amen
A little heads up: I'm experiencing some major physical pain right now that is unresponsive to medication. That means I'm not able to spend much time on X right now until this subsides. Any prayers you can send my way would be greatly appreciated right now. God bless you all. ๐Ÿ™

The only people in America you can portray as stupid, lazy, hateful, etc are white men. Just ask the current big thinkers in the GOP!

The faith was fully revealed in Christ, but He didnโ€™t leave us a book alone. He established a living authority to guard and teach it until He returns. In Isaiah 22 the key of the house of David is given to the prime minister who stewards the kingdom in the kingโ€™s absence. Jesus applies that same language to Peter in Matthew 16:18-19: the keys of the kingdom, the power to bind and loose, and the promise that the gates of hell wonโ€™t prevail against the Church built on him. Peterโ€™s successors continue that role as the visible head of the Church on earth. Thatโ€™s why the Church holds councils and the Pope issues decrees. Theyโ€™re not inventing a new faith or โ€œfiguring it outโ€ from scratch. Theyโ€™re clarifying, defending, and applying the deposit of faith already given, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, especially when heresies arise or new situations need a definitive judgment. The Magisterium protects what was handed down; it doesnโ€™t replace it.

You wouldnโ€™t know the difference between Iconography and Idolatry because you fail to appreciate the distinction between Dulia and Latria. Your views arenโ€™t Scriptural and are proximate to the Heresy of Iconoclasm. (1) From the Council of Trent: โ€œthey (the Holy Fathers and Sacred Councils) especially instruct the faithful diligently concerning the intercession and invocation of saints; the honour (paid) to relics; and the legitimate use of images: teaching them, that the saints, who reign together with Christ, offer up their own prayers to God for men; that it is good and useful suppliantly to invoke them, and to have recourse to their prayers, aid, (and) help for obtaining benefits from God, through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our alone Redeemer and Saviour; but that they think impiously, who deny that the saints, who enjoy eternal happiness in heaven, are to be invocated; or who assert either that they do not pray for men; or, that the invocation of them to pray for each of us even in particular, is idolatry; or, that it is repugnant to the word of God; and is opposed to the honour of the one mediator of God and men, Christ Jesus; or, that it is foolish to supplicate, vocally, or mentally, those who reign in heaven. Also, that the holy bodies of holy martyrs, and of others now living with Christ,-which bodies were the living members of Christ, and the temple of the Holy Ghost, and which are by Him to be raised unto eternal life, and to be glorified,โ€“are to be venerated by the faithful; through which (bodies) many benefits are bestowed by God on me.;โ€ (2) Condemnation of Iconoclasm From the Second Council of Nicaea: Anathemas concerning holy images (1) If anyone does not confess that Christ our God can be represented in his humanity, let him be anathema. (2) anyone does not accept representation in art of evangelical scenes, let him be anathema. (3) If anyone does not salute such representations as standing for the Lord and his saints, let him be anathema. (4) If anyone rejects any written or unwritten tradition of the church, let him be anathema. And, please, before you presume to create a false distinction based on misapprehension of the aforementioned language note that God the Father is painted prominently in the Sistine Chapel. (3) The Catechism of Pope Pius X โ€œWhat is idolatry? Idolatry is the giving to any creature, for example, to a statue, to an image, or to a man, the supreme worship of adoration that belongs to God alone. Do these words forbid every kind of image? Certainly not; but only those of false divinities, made to be adored, as idolaters adore them. So true is this, that God Himself commanded Moses to make images, as, for example, the two statues of the Cherubim for the Ark . . . โ€œ The Catechism of Pope Pius X Pages CXXVI-CXXVII Nos. 9 & 11 (4) Scripture Veneration Of Holy Images โƒExodus 25:18-22 โ€œMake two Cherubim of gold.โ€ โƒNumbers 21:9 โ€œMoses made a bronze serpent, and set it up as a sign.โ€ โƒ1 Kings 6:23-29 (walls of temples covered with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers) โƒ1 Kings 7:25-45 (more bronze images inside the temple: sea, oxen, and lions) See Also โƒJoshua 3:14-16 โƒ2 Samuel 6:13-16 โƒ1 Kings 3:15 โƒ1 Kings 8:5 โƒIsaiah 10:11 โƒHosea 11:2 โƒJonah 2:8 โƒActs 15:20 โƒ2 Corinthians 6:16 โƒ1 John 5:21 And Miraculous Relics โƒ2 Kings 2:13-14 (Elisha uses Elijahโ€™s Mantle to part Jordan River) โƒ2 Kings 13:21 โ€œas soon as man touched the bones of Elisha, he revived.โ€ โƒMatthew 9:20 (Miracle of Bleeding Woman) โƒActs 5:14-16 (Peterโ€™s shadow falls on sick; they are healed) John 3:14-15 And just as Moses lifted up[e] the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, f]so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.โ€ See also โƒMark 6:56 โƒLuke 8:43-48 โƒActs 19:11-12
Idol worship is alive and well in the Catholic Church.

I donโ€™t ask a lot from yโ€™all but please pray for my friend @BeulerDam He is one of the realest people Iโ€™ve met on here and has spent his life protecting and helping people in one way or another. Every positive thought helps. Thanks.
If you are a praying individual, I could really Use some intercession. I donโ€™t know if itโ€™s side effects from my new treatment or if my immune system is trying to unalive me(happened 20 years ago), but my body/immune system is not going to be able to sustain this level of intensity for much longer. Itโ€™s really making me feel as if the Father may actually be granting me parole from this satanic prison. My recent labs show I am basically walking dead already so treatment has to work and I recover quickly Clearly I still have some suffering unto righteousness left, but since I already did the slow death on hospice for a year, 20 years ago, I ask for mercy this time around. Although, I would be grateful if I could get enough respite to actually give my body solid rest. thank youโค๏ธ
