Same with wrestling you could be a month in a Tracy Smothers ask you to be his manager for his match
Michael Che said it perfectly.
In basketball, you'd have to play for 20 or 30 years to get on the court with LeBron. In comedy, you can be two or three years in, and your heroes are in the same club, watching your set. 🤯
That's the beauty of being a comedian.

Glad to give @EFFYlives and @PRODUCENYC the chance to work with Noah Veil.

“The Forgotten One” wasn’t a gimmick.
The night The Bev debuted in Paradigm, we forgot that we had booked him.
We weren’t the only ones overlooking him at the time. He had held the AIW Intense Championship, but he had started to fall off the radar of independent wrestling.
The Bev made sure we never forgot about him again.
At Heavy Hitters 2, we made our international streaming debut with a field that included UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar, Tom Lawlor, Lee Moriarty, Calvin Tankman, Dominic Garrini, Erick Stevens, Matthew Justice, and Hoodfoot.
But it was The Bev standing tall at the end. On the night most people were getting their first look at Paradigm, he became our first Heavy Hitters Champion.
He kept coming back, and we kept finding more reasons to put him in the main event.
By the time we stopped running, he was the only Grand Slam Champion in Paradigm history.
Somewhere along the way, Paradigm helped awaken something in him. He took that into the wider deathmatch world, winning Tournament of Death, King of the Deathmatches, and the American Deathmatch World Championship.
His willingness to fight in the glass also helped give us our most famous match: a 60-minute Ultraviolent Ironman Deathmatch against Ron Mathis.
By the time we reached New Jersey, Mathis and The Bev had fought through years of shows and across state lines. We gave them an hour to settle it.
Apparently, an hour wasn’t enough.
They say if you speak the devil’s name, he will appear. And Mathis has been saying his name again…

Anyone who thought we could do this without the 🐐 was delusional.
No one loves a complicated rule set more than we do. That’s why our referees have always been an important part of the Paradigm family.
A UWFi Rules fight asks a lot of the official. The fighters can push each other to the limit, and the referee has to know exactly when to step in.
Max always protected our people. He was there for our first Fighting Spirit Heavyweight Grand Prix, when he helped us bring UWFi Rules back to the US for the first time in 25 years.
He also mentored our friend, referee Sean Patrick O’Brien, who grew into part of the soul of Paradigm.
We wish SPO could be there for show 150. We know he’ll be watching from above, and he’ll be glad Max is there to handle the action.
We’ve signed three UWFi Rules fights for MIDLIFE CRISIS. We’ll announce them soon, but we’ve already got the right person to officiate them.

Pound for pound the strongest wrestler we ever booked.
Couldn’t do it one more time without ‘em.
Max Zero showed up to our Super Middleweight Grand Prix without a booking and asked for a tryout.
There was one problem: he was way too big for the Super Middleweight Grand Prix.
But he was tall, he was handsome, he was standing right there, and we had Jeffrey John available to get beaten up.
Ensuring Jeffrey’s demise was always one of our favorite hobbies. So we gave Max a match.
He made sure it wasn’t his last.
And when Max hit the Eddie Money Driver, somebody was going home tonight.
Max kept coming back for UWFi Rules fights and tournament matches. At Heavy Hitters 4, he fought through the field and won the whole thing. Then he became the Heavy Hitters Champion.
The guy we hadn’t booked became one of the people who defined the division. That’s a pretty good return on a tryout.
Paradigm made room for people who showed up and gave us a reason to keep booking them. Max Zero walked in uninvited and earned his place at show 150.

Literal Rule:
Keep the entrance short unless you’re @NickDepp270 .
During our marathon tapings, we gave wrestlers an important rule: keep the entrance short and get to the ring.
But then there was Nick Depp…
Nick got as much time as he needed. He was impossible to ignore, and by the time he reached the ring, the crowd knew exactly who they were dealing with.
We knew Nick before Paradigm existed. We were in the crowd when he won Prince of the Deathmatch in 2017, watching a Kentucky wrestler make himself impossible to overlook.
He joined our shows late in our run, but he fit right in. Paradigm always had room for people who didn’t take themselves too seriously but could always back it up in the ring.
At show 150, we’re making room for that entrance again.

Let’s have a week.
Cole Radrick was family before Paradigm Pro even started.
He was there for the first shows, when we were still figuring out what this place could be.
He was there when the pandemic shut everything down, and he came back for the empty arena shows when we had no idea what wrestling was going to look like next.
He won the Paradigm Championship and the Super Middleweight Championship. He wrestled under UWFi rules and every other stipulation we could think of.
Whatever strange turn this promotion took, Cole was there for it.
Different eras. Different opponents. Sometimes no audience at all. There isn’t a chapter of Paradigm’s story that doesn’t have Cole Radrick in it.
He’s made a name for himself far beyond the Jeffersonville Arena. But we couldn’t do our 150th show without one of the people who helped us get to 149.

800 days.
Between his two reigns as Paradigm Champion and his run with the Tag Team Titles, Suge D spent 800 days as one of our standard bearers.
For almost a third of Paradigm’s existence, he helped fly our flag. He was with us before the pandemic and became essential to what we built during it.
At different points, he was our top fan favorite and our top villain. He was there for No Hook, the DEATHclutch takeover, and even mixed it up under UWFi Rules.
Different eras. Different opponents. The same Suge D showing up and making each one matter.
One of our best to ever do it is coming home.
SUGE D returns at MIDLIFE CRISIS, our 150th show, on Friday, November 20th at the Jeffersonville Arena.

Ronnie Paradigm
Or
Paradigm Ronnie
Whichever you prefer
Ron Mathis has spent more time in a Paradigm Pro ring than anyone else in our history.
That’s not hyperbole.
It’s a verifiable fact.
Last-minute cancellation? Ron filled in. Hardcore match on 24 hours’ notice? He said yes. UWFi taping? Why not. An Ultraviolent Ironman match? Of course.
The night he went 60 minutes with a UFC fighter, Ron had a booking in another state first. He still made it to Jeffersonville and wrestled until well after midnight.
He was always there for us.
So when we decided to run show number 150, our matchmaker had one rule: “It’s only happening if Ron Mathis is available.”
He is.

When I agreed to go back to the Jeffersonville,IN Arena for one last time w/ @gjw34 he did not mention this at all.
Reading it gave me chills, I'm proud of the wrestling I did at Paradigm. I had the chance to wrestle legends of all sorts, long forgotten stars, and many of the current and next generation of wrestlers who I wouldn't have had the chance to without Paradigm existing.
Thank You 🙏
and buy a fucking ticket for November 20: paradigmprowrestling.tickets…
At UFC 100, “Filthy” Tom Lawlor scored a victory in under a minute and won Submission of the Night.
He then went on to become MLW World Heavyweight Champion and the first NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion.
Simply put, he didn’t need to be in the Jeffersonville Arena.
But he wanted to be.
He took brutal red-eye flights on an airline that no longer exists, stayed in crappy hotels, and endured our marathon tapings.
He wrestled under UWFi rules, did hardcore matches whenever we asked, won three of our tournaments, and went 60 minutes with Ron Mathis after midnight.
He understood the part of Paradigm we could never quite explain to most people: the shoot-style wrestling, the absurdity, the excess, and the fact that we meant every bit of it.
We couldn’t have done this without him.
At MIDLIFE CRISIS, our 150th show, we’re proud to induct “Filthy” Tom Lawlor into the Paradigm Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame.

One of the best humans in wrestling.
