This #WorldNTDDay, let’s not allow rabies to be forgotten! To reach @WHO's goal of eliminating canine-mediated human rabies deaths by 2030, we must keep powering forward! There is a huge mountain ahead of us, but this goal is possible if we all work together. ✊ 💛

A round-up of 2022! 💉 Over 240,000 dogs vaccinated 🎓 Over 1 million children educated 🏫 Over 21,000 teachers supported 🧡 Over 220,000 community members reached A massive thank you to our brilliant supporters, partners and volunteers! You rock! 🙌

This #GiveSomethingAwayDay is the perfect opportunity to start thinking about volunteering abroad with Mission Rabies! You’ll be giving the gift of time, delivering life-saving vaccinations to dogs which also protects the communities in which they live.

Studies indicate that mass canine vaccination programmes are the most effective measure for controlling rabies, and that vaccinating 70% of the dogs in an area, where rabies is prevalent, is necessary to control the disease in both humans and dogs. #MissionRabies #OneHealth

After receiving their life-saving rabies vaccination, every dog gets marked with dog friendly paint so when surveyors return to count the dogs – both with and without paint marks – we can confirm we've vaccinated the 70% required to protect the community.
