Economists warn that Democrats still have no serious, comprehensive long-term strategy to bring down inflation and gasoline prices. There's no detailed, quantifiable plan to reduce federal deficits, rein in spending and Treasury borrowing, stabilize the national debt, or address the monetary policies that helped fuel inflation in the first place. Democrats love talking about affordability, but not making Washington more affordable.
They want to reverse Trump's tariffs but impose $4.4 trillion in tax increases over 10 years. Biden-era Treasury officials have floated $15 trillion dollar tax hikes. Because nothing says affordability quite like taking more money out of Americans' pockets.
Gasoline? Democrats are not talking more supply, instead they want to stymie U.S. production. They want more taxes on the oil and gas industry, restrictions on U.S. drilling, and more spending on green energy. Meanwhile, America's refining capacity has been declining, with major refineries closing and critical fuel infrastructure disappearing. One proposal would impose a 100% tax on certain oil profits above $75 per barrel. Why build another refinery or expand production when Washington is waiting to confiscate the profits?
And groceries? Democrats want more antitrust investigations and crackdowns on alleged price manipulation by grocery chains, along with higher minimum wages. Apparently, Mom-and-Pop grocery stores are now suspects in America's inflation crisis, while Washington's trillion-dollar spending habits get a free pass.
Healthcare? Democrats want to pour even more taxpayer money into Obamacare, despite the roughly $27 billion in annual improper payments and fraud. Apparently, when a government program has a fraud problem, the Democratic fix is to bow out the credit card.
They also want more government subsidies for housing, childcare and other programs that contribute to runaway costs. Just look at college tuition. Washington subsidizes the bill, universities raise the price, taxpayers pick up the tab, and everyone wonders why college costs a fortune. That’s the business model.
And let's not forget the opportunities for fraud when billions in taxpayer subsidies are handed out without adequate oversight. Apparently, accountability is optional when the money belongs to somebody else.
Here's the fundamental problem: You cannot tax, subsidize, regulate and spend your way to lasting price stability while ignoring federal deficits, mounting debt and excessive government borrowing.
You cannot keep pumping money into the economy, piling up debt, expanding government programs and then pretend that inflation is somebody else's fault.
At some point, Democrats need to explain how they intend to actually lower inflation and energy prices instead of simply redistributing the bill and rebranding the same old D.C. spending spree.
Because taxing Americans more, spending more, borrowing more and regulating more isn't an inflation strategy. It's a Washington spending addiction disguised as an affordability plan. And apparently, the only thing Democrats are determined to expand on is how none of this works.

They are lightly moistened to ensure he never loses his grip on his rifle.

The Tomb has been continuously guarded — day and night — since 1930.

A farmer, tired of rats destroying his crops and stealing his grain, came up with a clever but cruel plan. He threw a dead pig into a deep, abandoned well. Attracted by the smell, nearly 80 rats rushed into the well to feast on the carcass. At first, everything seemed wonderful. There was more than enough food for everyone, and the rats ate until they were satisfied.
But when the food was gone, they discovered something terrifying. The walls of the well were too steep to climb. They were trapped. Days passed, and hunger turned into desperation. Desperation turned into aggression. The rats that had once eaten peacefully beside one another began fighting for survival. Eventually, they began killing and eating each other.
One by one, their numbers dwindled until only a single rat remained. Its eyes were bloodshot, and it had survived by consuming its own kind. Then the farmer returned, lowered a rope into the well, and rescued the last surviving rat. But he didn't save it out of kindness or compassion.
The farmer knew the rat had learned to survive by hunting other rats. When he released it into his fields, it would continue killing its own kind instead of eating his grain. The farmer had turned his enemy into his greatest weapon.
And that is the lesson of divide and conquer. Those who control the trap don't need to fight the battles themselves. They simply create the conditions in which others turn against one another.
The rats believed their enemies were the other rats. They never realized that the true enemy was the farmer who had put them there. The greatest danger isn't always the enemy standing in front of you. Sometimes it's the one who created the conflict and stands quietly watching you destroy each other.
Before you turn against your neighbor because of their political beliefs, ask yourself who benefits from keeping Americans divided. While we fight each other over Republican and Democrat, we may be overlooking those who profit from the conflict. Perhaps the real question isn't which side you're on, but who built the well—and why they want us fighting at the bottom of it.

Major is a Belgian Malinois service dog.
He has spent more than 545 days alone in an isolation kennel at the Austin Animal Center.
No walks.
No pets.
No people.
Now the city wants to put him down.
Here's what happened:
* March 2025, a pickup truck hit Major.
* He was hurt and in pain, and a woman who stopped to help tried to lift him into a car.
* He bit her.
* A municipal judge ordered him euthanized as a danger to the public.
* His human, Shane Lilly, has fought it through the Texas Supreme Court ever since.
Now a federal judge has put the euthanasia on hold and is expected to decide within days whether an independent trainer can evaluate Major for rehabilitation.
More than 54,000 people have signed the petition to free him.
An injured dog snapped while a stranger was moving him.

Her mom didn’t yell in the pickup line about it.
Instead, she’s sending her to school in a JESUS LOVES ME shirt and told her the teacher is not covering that up.

A 13-year-old girl was kidnapped from her home. Hours later, a man stopping for gas noticed something that made his heart drop.
It was the exact SUV from the Amber Alert, right in front of him. Daniel Cosby checked the plate, realized it matched, and called 911.
But Daniel didn’t just make the call and drive away. He stayed behind the SUV for several miles, keeping it in sight and updating dispatch as deputies raced to catch up.
When police finally moved in, the suspect, 45-year-old Jason Castillo, refused to stop and tried to flee. Deputies disabled the SUV and surrounded it. Inside, they found 13-year-old Juliet alive and unharmed.
Daniel was just going about his day, but because he paid attention and refused to look away when it mattered, a missing girl made it home safely.

🚨 GOOD MORNING BRITAIN: A 92 YEAR OLD PENSIONER WITH DEMENTIA WAS TASERED OVER A BUTTER KNIFE
I hope every single citizen in this country reads this story today and confronts what British policing has truly become.
Donald Burgess was a 92 year old amputee suffering from severe dementia, sitting completely unmoving in his wheelchair inside an East Sussex care home.
When he became agitated during a meal and held onto a dull butter knife, two police officers arrived and instantly escalated the situation into pure terror.
An inquest has heard that PC Stephen Smith and PC Rachel Comotto screamed at the elderly man, struck his arm with a metal baton, and emptied a full can of pepper spray directly into his face.
PC Comotto then fired a high voltage taser into the disabled pensioner's chest as he wept in agony and cried out that he was dying.
The 92 year old was handcuffed, dragged to a police station, rushed to hospital in medical distress, and died shortly afterwards from cardiac complications and trauma.
Medical testimony now confirms that the extreme physiological stress inflicted by those officers directly contributed to his death.
Yet both officers walked away cleared of assault charges, while Sussex Police dismissed the horrific timing of his death as a mere coincidence.
I watch British police officers dance at street carnivals, take the knee, and hand out cautions to violent gang members on our high streets.
Yet when confronted with a helpless, vulnerable pensioner trapped in a wheelchair, they deploy batons, chemical spray, and tasers with zero mercy.
I demand full public accountability for everyone involved, the immediate dismissal of those officers, and an end to a coward culture that abuses the vulnerable while running from real criminals.
