These buns are usually sesame seed buns. Please keep note that "Hamburger" only refers to these kinds of burgers, and other burgers such as chicken burgers or veggie burgers are not hamburgers, yet can still be classified as a burger, and thus a sandwich.

Overall, hamburgers and any other type of burger is considered a sandwich! A filling in-between two pieces of bread. Very fun to write this, thanks for the opportunity!
