And radio is bigger in their genres than it is in hip hop at the current moment, so they have more visibility with passive fans.

you can see it in the way a lot of hip hop fans talk about someone like lil baby vs a rage/underground rapper. because more time these guys are the same in different fonts.

A lot of people only respect hip-hop if they can deem it artsy or experimental.

People till this day cannot admit that camp Neverland shit was strange at LEAST. It’s a way bigger issue in general with how we approach celebrity culture and stardom.

Real unfortunate reality of the Epstein files being real was a larger wave of this rhetoric and types of bad faith discussions feeling like they need to be discussed by the general public

arguing about rap is sacred, fun, and helps keep the genre healthy. everything turning it into a numbers game, industry rumor talk shows, or fashion show has led us astray.

In 2015, I created an online collective called “weathrboyz” a few of us had different names that were related to weather and had “kast” at the end. Forkast, Kold Frunt, Clowdy. These emails and screenshots date back from 9 to 11 years ago. The instagram is still active.
