they’re not jobs if they’re not valued. they’re not valued if there aren’t customers out there willing to pay them for their great work. needing the government to “create” a job is tantamount to welfare and that level of welfare resolves these individuals to a dependency on the government and lack of economic mobility. and chains our people, collectively, to a more indentured future. you may be well intentioned but you have, and always will, fail to see the destitute folly of government as a job creation engine. i have tried to engage you on this topic, in good faith, with empiricism and reasoning, but you have only dodged my points and pivoted to some populist refrain about the importance of taxation and the evils of productivity-driven success. i can only assume you’re dodging these truths because you and the rest of the politburo leadership have deemed the conversation unsafe speech and put your oligopoly at risk. let’s leave it at that then. perhaps if your ways get their day, we can all bask in the glories of the dark ages ahead.

New York is about to make a massive mistake. The NY State Senate is advancing a proposal to decouple from federal QSBS (Section 1202) — the tax provision that lets startup founders exclude gains on qualifying exits. If this passes, founders would owe 10-13% in combined state and city tax on exits that are tax-free at the federal level and in nearly every other major tech state. Even worse: it's retroactive to January 1, 2025. This comes right as the federal government just expanded QSBS benefits and New Jersey moved to full conformity. New York wants to go in the opposite direction. As a seed investor in NYC who has backed hundreds of companies, I can tell you: founders are mobile. If New York becomes one of the most punitive states for startup exits, the best founders will simply build somewhere else — and the jobs, tax revenue, and innovation will follow. NYC has built something special over the last two decades. This proposal puts it all at risk for a short-sighted revenue grab. If you're a founder, investor, or anyone who cares about the NYC tech ecosystem — please sign the TechNYC open letter before Monday below 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾 Keep building, NYC 🗽

I look forward to working with the Trump Administration on fulfilling his promise to cap credit card interest rates at 10%. We cannot continue to allow big banks to make record profits by ripping off Americans by charging them 25 to 30% interest rates. That is usury.

Apparently some PC staffers had a role in blocking Kamala from going on Rogan. Presumably in their minds, they didn’t want to platform him. You’re not getting it! You’re not in control of the message anymore. Kamala wasn’t platforming Rogan, Rogan would have been platforming her!

Liberals actually had their own Joe Rogan for years. His name was Joe Rogan.
People saying Harris should have done Joe Rogan are missing the point. That wouldn’t have helped her. Liberals need to BUILD THEIR OWN JOE ROGAN. Somebody who can speak to the people he speaks to, without being a guy who wants to kiss ass to billionaires like Elon Musk.

Huge insight by @elonmusk watched by millions the day before the election. 🇺🇸
I believe this is what pushed Joe Rogan over the edge to make the final decision to endorse Donald Trump. During the Elon Musk interview, Musk explained how America will be a one-party country if Kamala wins. "If the Kamala puppet machine wins, they will legalize the illegals in swing states. There'll be no swing states. Every election going forward will be a guaranteed Democrat win." "And it'll actually be worse than California. The reason it'll be worse than California is because the one thing that keeps California from being super crazy is that you can move outta California like you and I did." "This is final, this is it. This is the last chance. Go out and vote. Vote like your life depends on it. Vote like your future depends on it. Because it does. This is the last chance, man."

I offer my heartfelt thanks and aloha to President Donald Trump for allowing me to play a small part in his victorious campaign to Make America Great Again. It has been a great honor and privilege to get to know @realDonaldTrump, a kind and courageous person who sincerely desires the best for the American people — and indeed for all the people in the world. It is my great hope that the American people will loudly condemn any efforts by those who did everything they could to sabotage his previous presidency to try and do it again.

President Trump has asked me to do three things: 1. Clean up the corruption in our government health agencies. 2. Return those agencies to their rich tradition of gold-standard, evidence-based science. 3. Make America Healthy Again by ending the chronic disease epidemic.

Podcasts and X were key to this election. In the future, if you want to win, you need to be able to do 2-3 hour long-form podcasts. People don't want cookie-cutter PR-approved sound bites. They want to get to know the real human being. I'll keep doing that with everyone ❤️
I think the sneaky big turning point in this election was @jaredkushner on @lexfridman. It was the first real "Wait, you said this guy was terrible and he seems excellent." It seems like the big shift was about that delta.

This is a bankruptcy moment for the legacy media. They shrieked Nazi, fascist, traitor, insurrectionist at the top of their lungs for years. The country didn’t believe it. Their spell is broken. Their credibility is destroyed. It’s a new dawn.

Looks like Trump is going to win, potential landslide. Leading in every swing state. Let that sink in. PS: Long-form podcasts FTW. I hope to see politicians from both sides doing 2-3+ hour genuine, human conversations moving forward.
