Northwestern University head football coach David Braun is the most recent prominent sports figure to spotlight the failure of legalizing commercialized sports gambling across the country: "I’m telling you what, I got 11-year-old and 9-year-old boys at home and I am terrified of how addictive gambling is... It’s predatory. It’s messed up what’s going on. You look at 18-25 year old young men out there right now and the predatory nature of this stuff—it’s really scary."

It’s amazing. Great sightlines, incredible amenities. The magnitude of the upgrade is hard to overstate. It would be like playing a muni with artificial turf tee boxes your whole life, then being told you’re now playing every round at Augusta. 1st class in every sense of the word

The first seats at Northwestern’s new Ryan Field were installed today in the 200s section. Here’s the view from the top level of the $862M stadium, which Northwestern has labelled as “premium for everybody.” It’s expected to fit 35,000 fans, three-quarters of the old stadium.
