His eyes caught sight of a familiar back—one he’d grown accustomed to seeing practically every day. Without a hint of hesitation, he lunged forward, arms sliding around Alhaitham’s neck in a tight embrace, peppering soft kisses across his cheek.
“I’ll remember it for you,” he said with a playful grin plastering his face as he hopped down from his husband’s arms.
“Though I haven’t prepared a gift for you yet. Is there something you’d like? A book, perhaps?” The thought of gifting a book had, of course, crossed his mind.
The problem was only to figure out which book his partner didn’t already own—and more importantly, which one 𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙.
